The actual story is just a simple and silly counting rhyme. But my 9-month-old daughter can't get enough of the feathers sticking off each page. Great design to this little book.

This is a sweet little board book all about silly turkeys. As a bonus, it helps kids learn to count backwards from five!

Good book for Peter AND Ezra. Love the fabric flaps on the outside for counting. Also good sensory input and makes book easier to turn for Ezra.

My kids love this board book with shiny fabric "feathers" that they can grab to turn the page. The simple rhymes are easy for them to remember, too, so even the 4yo can read this to herself. A Thanksgiving favorite, especially when Thanksgiving picture books tend to skew heavily toward the real story of Thanksgiving, which is a bit much for younger children and often have too many words to make for fun read-alouds. This is short, sweet, and entertaining.

This book is defective! Apparently I am the only parent that checked it out from the library who actually cracked it open and attempted to read it! The page with a rhyme about four silly turkeys is in the book twice and there is no page about three silly turkeys...it goes 5, 4, 4, 2, 1!!!
This could have been a cute book......

Five Silly Turkeys is a perfect Thanksgiving board book for very young readers with the simple rhymes and shiny feathers for the child to grab when turning the page. Readers can count the turkeys as the book progresses.

This book promotes phonological awareness and print awareness.

Perfect for smaller groups of babies and toddlers due to the size of the book. Crinkly feathers used to turn each page. Fun!

This one is really cute. I like that the book has feather tabs so that my nephew can play with the story as we read. The book is shaped like a turkey and the colors are vibrant.
