Everyone has made at least one poor decision. The goal of this book is to give the reader hope and encouragement that he can recover from any bad decision in his past. Lutzer teaches and refers to scripture in guiding the reader into an examination of poor decisions in the areas of finances, employment, relationships and marriage. A path to better choices can be made by seeking forgiveness from God and those who have been wronged. When a person humbly asks, God grants forgiveness and brings him back into right relationship with him. Nothing can change the past but a better future can be expected when good choices are made today.
A good, practical, biblical book. Marriage, money, morality, vocation and relationships are some of the areas covered. Lutzer reminds us there are tough consequences for bad decisions, but God is gracious to forgive and work if we turn and cry out to Him. I would recommend this to young people as a reminder concerning consequences for all their decisions in life, and a reminder for us older folks who have many regrets from decisions in our past or find ourselves not living the life we expected. His chapter on decision making is especially helpful.
This book shows that God's grace still prevails despite of the bad decisions we make in our lives. However, it does not make an excuse of the consequences of those bad decisions. God makes the best out of those bad decisions if we let Him. An encouraging read!
I found this book at the time I need it the most. Through that experience, I again found out that God has never left my side and is always faithful in guiding me. Thank you so much for creating this book, I found new life in this. God's wisdom is truly the greatest of all knowledge.
I love to read Lutzer - he makes the gospel come alive and makes it easy to understand. This book helps us that have made bad decisions and gives us hope in the grace of God.
How to make good decisions? This is a good question and Dr Lutzer responds with grace and biblical perspective.
From his own experience as a pastor, counselor and teacher, he guide us through 9 chapters to the point of understanding that the ultimate goal is to please God not our self, and when doing that our life will be full filled and fruitful.
Also he teaches us that God can redeem our bad decisions and used for our good.
The worst decision ever made was not by us but by Adam and Eve, but the worst decision we can make is to refuse God’s give of salvation.
