My 5-star rating of this short 1968 book is as a work of vintage rock history. Ten successful groups of the U.S. pop scene are featured, from The Young Rascals to the Supremes. Simply written, the book is a step above the hugely popular fan magazines of this time. As history, it reveals the growing pains of changing times, and an industry still immersed in racism and sexism. A recommended find for music trivia enthusiasts like myself.
