Innocent Landscapes

Rate this book
Photographic landscapes showing ‘sites of the disappeared’—the secret graves of those murdered in Northern Ireland. In May 1999 an amnesty was declared to help with the identification and location of a number of people who had disappeared during the ‘Troubles’. Six locations were identified, the burial places of eight people murdered by the IRA. All were Catholic and had been taken from their families and homeland to be buried in the South. Winner of the European Publishers Award for Photography 2001.
