It serves the purpose of giving you some general knowledge about astronomy and if u feel interested the 2nd half of the book has maps of the sky for each season that whenever you want to observe the night on clear sky you can find the constellations and starts and galaxies in the clear night sky!
Great start for getting into astronomy as a hobby!

I was always fascinated by the night sky, when I was little I will look up and I will watch the stars, it was something calming about the vista of the night sky, this book helped me learned a lot about the stars and the constellations. A nice manual for someone that wants to have a small glimpse and learn of how our universe works.

I've always have this wee interest in Astronomy and this book has sparked more and I'm hooked now. Easy read and lots of information that urged you to know more. I've always have this deep sensation for constellations and it did have a good chapter on it behind. Highly recommended!

I learned many things about the night sky, like that solar flares can be seen from earth and that their is so many stars that their is only a constellation for about an 8th of the stars.
