Sharp 9th
Skinner Malloy had a good career going as rock musician. But gigs have dried up since the former combat Marine was convicted of assault. He trashed the men who attacked his band mate, young ad executive, Gillian Carroll. Gillian is trying to recover from the attack when she's fired on trumped up charges made by one of her clients, Consolidated Insurance. Worse, someone's still spreading lies.
As Gillian and Skinner search for the real reason she's been fired, people associated with Consolidated Insurance start dying in freak accidents. The accidents seem to more than coincidence. Together they uncover corruption, government-business conspiracy, shady cops, private security thugs and murder. And maybe feelings for each other.
Then Gillian disappears.

Honestly (given my subjectivity), it's heck of a good mystery.
Skinner Malloy is a musician who's not getting gigs anymore. The former combat Marine is out on parole after trashing the men who attacked his band mate, Gillian Carrol.
Gillian is trying to put her life back together in her ad agency job, when she's fired by her client, Consolidated Insurance. The dismissal is bogus and so are the lies that someone keeps spreading about her.
As Gillian and Skinner look for the real reasons she was fired they find that people associated with Consolidate are dieing in freak accidents. Accidents that just can't be coincidence. They find a young girl dieing in a hospital, refused treatment by Consolidated. They find corruption, conspiracy, private security thugs, sleazy cops.
They begin to find feelings for each other. Then Gillian disappears.

"Sharp 9th is a mystery - murder, corruption, conspiracy" is far too simplistic a description for what is a stunningly written thriller- that rises above the typical mystery and grabs holdof the reader from page one...a winner from A-Z
