I love Alias, I cannot help it. I found Alias through the Blockbuster mailing Netflix wanna be program and fell in love. It was during the third season on television and my roommate and I got all of them and would watch it for hours as a marathon until we ran out of discs and then would run to the mailbox to mail them off and wait two days until the next influx of discs would come. It was completely addictive and made me forget about my depression. The only anti-depressive I have ever had to work, other than my husband's smiles, cheesy I know. But I think it is because in every single episode things can change so quickly an emotions go on a fast roller coaster and almost always end well. I think that my emotions follow them and I forget my reality of being depressed for no good reason and I'm whatever the emotion is at the end of the episode. Now that I have found the books it is as if it continuing and I'm very excited and I do love them. If you didn't like the TV show, then you just don't understand. Either you get it or you don't, that's just the way it is.
A book based on the television series. This is set before the television show and tells the story of how Michael Vaughn became a CIA agent. We also get a look at his first mission. If you are looking for Sydney, you have to read something else because she is not in this book.
I have not been a fan of the Alias media tie-in books but this one was much better. I thought the author did a commendable job with the main character as I had no problem picturing Vaughn. Also, this fits in nicely with the show as we get Vaughn living in the shadow of his father and Vaughn missing that special something from his love life. Fans of the show will appreciate this foreshadowing.
This was a quick read and a nice was to spend some more time with a character from the show. It wasn't mind blowing but I didn't expect it to be. It fulfilled my expectations.
I'm a fan of Alias during the heydays. And yes,Michael Vaughn is one of my favorite character.Well, this book is all about him.Narrating on how, why, and what makes him joining the CIA.And yes,you can expect some intense action included too..like hey,he's yet to be a part of it,and he's already been through all the jazz.
Get this one if you're into: Alias (the tv series),Michael Vaughn, espionage
Another quick read in the Alia series. This book takes a break from Sydney Bristow's character and instead goes into a bit of Michal Vaughn's background. I did find this book a little slow in the beginning but it picked up and finished well.
