A powerful book about the strength of a woman. This book really reached me, and I was deeply touched.

Strong writing and excellent character development make this such a gripping read.

The romance is well done and realistic for older people. The depth of feeling presented will make some reach for tissues.

The suspense was strong and really intense at times. The evil that existed in Maddie's world was vile.

A fan of this author will want to get this book. A solid read for your e-reader. I will want to read more by this author. If your interest is romantic suspense, then read this book and you won't be disappointed.

I was a bit hesitant about reading a book with the main character being "the target of sexual harassment," but I have enjoyed so many of Marsha West's romantic suspense novels, I trusted the story would not be graphic. And I was right. The story was filled with love of family, friends and of course, a handsome, kind man. The interplay between the strong woman vs the strong man held my attention. The bad guy was the kind of villain you love to hate. Tense scenes and warm scenes kept me turning pages. If you enjoy romantic suspense, you will enjoy this book.

Suspenseful

A sly villain, a vulnerable widow, and a believable man to support and help her grow. The suspense grows as Maddy finds the strength to fight back. A good story. I enjoyed it.
