Sienna Mercer grew up in Toronto, Canada. She was an only child, and always wanted a brother or sister – especially a twin. A twin would have been awesome! Sadly, she never got that sister so, when she was grown up, she did the next best thing - she wrote books about a girl who reminded her of herself, and gave her the most fun, fabulous twin she could think of!
Sienna began writing stories when she was a teenager, on a very wet day in Toronto when her cheerleading practice was cancelled - and she has not stopped writing since. She used to write in red leather notebooks while sat on her bed, but now does most of her writing in her attic, which is quite dark, and has some spooky cobwebs in the corners - the perfect location for thinking about vampires. She doesn't use red notebooks anymore, either, although she keeps them in a chest by her desk in the attic.
Sienna got the idea for My Sister the Vampire from a daydream she had - what if she had a super-cool twin sister... who was a vampire? She loved the characters - and their kooky friends and family - so much that she just had to keep writing about them.
When she's not daydreaming about vampires and cheerleading, Sienna enjoys travelling and exploring new cities, and keeps a detailed scrapbook of everywhere she’s visited. She lives in Toronto, kept company by Calypso and Angel – her two gorgeous cats. She is happily writing away and we wait for her upcoming books!
I liked this one more than book 2! I think the quest of the girls trying to find their birth parents was awesome. I really hope Ivy's dad will finally give Olivia a chance and get to know her. It made me sad every time her referred to her as "Ivy's friend" cause they're way more than friends.
The trials Olivia did gave the book some tension and I was worried the sisters were going to be separated. I'm still worried about that but only because of Ivy's dad :/ I think my favorite scene was when Ivy came over and all of Olivia's family dressed goth. It was so hilarious!!
It may seem like such a childish book to read, but after a couple of hours of reading, I was completely interested again in the series. I loved the ending the best because of all the happiness. However, I was shocked that Ivy's father is their real father and he was in hiding all this time; least he could've done was tell his daughter.

Usually, the first day of middle school is full of nervousness and excitement. Not knowing what to expect from the teachers or the upperclassmen, being at the bottom of the middle school food chain is always tough.
For Olivia Abbott, the first day of middle school was full of excitement that changed her life forever. Turns out Olivia has a twin sister named Ivy. But Ivy isn't just any sister -- she's also a vampire.
Olivia certainly doesn't mind that Ivy is very different from herself, and her adoptive parents are just as welcoming as she is. They even invited Ivy to stay for dinner and some quality bonding time. The girls hope to eventually figure out who their biological parents are.
Ivy's father, on the other hand, isn't interested in getting to know Olivia, since his mindset is on a job he received in Europe. Meaning Ivy and Olivia will once again be torn apart, unless they can come up with a plan for Ivy to stay.
Aside from the fact that Ivy might be moving away, Olivia and her loyalty towards vampires is being questioned. Plus, all of the angst that comes with being in middle school is adding obstacles to the girls' long road to finally becoming the sisters that they were meant to be.
Heartwarming and hilarious, RE-VAMPED!, the third book in the MY SISTER THE VAMPIRE series, adds on to the already original story line. A twist on finding a lost sibling, Sienna Mercer definitely knows how to entertain.

See... I told you! It's like a Television series! I really do hope some director or TV person makes this books series' into a Television series! I, surely, will be their number one fan and I bet a lot of people would love this show - if ever they would make this into one.
The moment I read the part were Ivy, Brendan, and Olivia went to the office of Brendan's dad I instantly remembered why Ivy is a vampire and Olivia is not. Also, for me, this book highlighted Sophia's personality - which I really loved reading the parts where she was included. I also love how Brendan loves Ivy so much. I want a Brendan!
I also love how creative Sienna Mercer gets with each book. In this book she reveals that everyone in Franklin Grove knows that Ivy and Olivia are twins but only the vamps know that Ivy is a vamp and Olivia is not. I love how, in this "episode" they reveal why Ivy is a vamp and Olivia is a human. It also reveals the identity of their parents and the story behind the whole adoption thing. I especially love the part where Olivia has to go through 3 tests in proving if she's worthy to keep the vampires-exist-secret. And also the ending where they find out Charles Vega's secret.
The only downside I got in reading this book was finding out the gonna be next problem for the twins - which will be the whole storyline for the next book, My Sister The Vampire #4: Vampalicious. And I am reading it now, I'm on page 68 already.
I also have been talking goth lately. Saying things to my friends like "That sounds killer!", "You look drop dead in your new shoes!", etc. and all my friends and classmates have blank and puzzled expressions on their faces. IT SERIOUSLY SUCKS! :)
I cant wait to finish the next book so I could read #5 - the one I dont know anything about because I stopped at #4 last two years ago so I dont have a single clue in what #5 has in store for me! I'm so excited I could die.
Sep 12 2017 re-read: I realised on this re-read in particular that this may be the most emotional book in this series, for me at least. If you really think about it (which I do, a lot) there is some serious depth to this story, with some tragic events from the past being brought to the surface. Still, Sienna Mercer balanced it with the fun perfectly and this book was, as always, so much fun to read!
Jan 1 - 13 2016 re-read: Everything about this book is pure brilliance! A cool, fun, feel-good story with blood-sucking, mysterious vampires thrown into the mix! You know a book's good if you walk around hugging it for half an hour after finishing it (and I already knew what happened anyway - I've read it tons of times before!). My favourite part has to be when Georgina Huntington from VAMP! magazine came round for the fashion shoot, it was just so cool. I love the way this series is written, the characters' personalities are fantastically done, the story is interesting and imaginative and not dull for a second, AND the ending was so awesome. This will forever and always be one of my favourite books. :D
I really like to read about Ivy and Olivia. It is nice to see their background being slowly revealed. Looking forward to part Four! Sienna Meecer has a captivating writing style and I got completely sucked into the story 😋
These continue to be charming. Ivy and Olivia are the best twins ever, as they search for the truth of their parentage while trying to protect Ivy from a suspicious vampire community.
I just finished reading “My Sister the Vampire Re-Vamped”. This is a good book about how Olivia and Ivy find each other and realize that they were sisters. Olivia was adopted, but Ivy was not. She have been living with their real father and he knew about both his daughters, but he never told Ivy about her sister or that her mother was a human. Both girls wore the same ring. Ivy wore it on her neck and the Olivia wore it on her hand.
In this book everyone in their school knows that they are sisters, but I’m still trying to figure out why Ivy is a Vampire and Olivia is human. Ivy had find a symbol in their rings and Olivia saw that symbol before on Ivy dad so Olivia and Ivy want looking for an answer in her dad old thing in Ivy house.
I would like to recommend this to the kids and my friends I know that love Vampire and lots of mystery and have about find their sister or twins that did not know about then this I s a good book it’s a really funny , mystery , and lots of secrets.
The two main characters in this book are Ivy, and Olivia. They are headed to Trannsilvania to visit their long lost grandparents, and to join them for the ball. Olivia back at home has a boyfriend, but the soon realizes that she is falling for the prince in Trannsilvania. Ivy is mad at both of them because Ivy knows how much Olivia likes her "real" boyfriend at home.
I really liked this book because it had a lot of suspension twards the end, and all the characters are very realistic, because theyseem like they could be real people. As you read you have this picture in your head just like a movie. The only thing I didn't like was I couldn't find the exact book so I used the same series, different books.
Glitter, vampires, fashion and a few OMGs to go with that :)!
I can't make up my mind about these books. On the other hand they are horrible and shame every vampire story ever written. Especially the first 50 pages were like torture. And yet I enjoy the ways Mercer bashes most cliches and makes True Vampirists weap :).
As for the story - there are some dark rituals (with strawberry shakes) and finally a revelation about the twins's real parents!
It was an eventful book in the series. First of all,now everyone knows that they are long lost twin sisters. Secondly,Olivia convinced the vampire officials that she is worthy of their trust. Thirdly, eventually they understood who is their father:Ivy's dad. I had guessed it,but I can't understand him at all,he is so strange. To solve this mystery,I should keep reading!

Ahhhh! This was so good, I liked the whole series! xD I read it last year, in this book they don't do as much switching as book one! xD They use to switch a lot. Not sure if it's this book or book four, it was quite revealed that Ivy's dad was REALLY her dad and Ivy's not an orphan and Ivy's dad happens to be also Olivia's dad, i really liked this book! :)
It's a cute book. I actually read it and at the end, was dying to find out why their biological father pretended to be the Ivy's adopted dad and why he didn't want anything to do with Olivia.
Ivy is the vampire twin whereas Olivia is the human twin. We also get to meet Brandon's dad and he is hysterical and a mad genius.
Looking forward to reading the next one.

This is the third book in the My Sister the Vampire series and it delves into how Ivy and Olivia can be identical twins. Ivy and Olivia search for the identity of their true parents and break the news to their adoptive parents.
I really liked it and admired the two sister's love for each other. I also like how they didn't know about each other for over half of their lives and when they just found out that they both existed, they were told they were to be torn apart yet again.
One of the best ones yet, the girls reveal their twin identity to the world, in both normal and vamp society. In doing so they discover more about their parents.
