Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! Mess! TOTAL TOTAL TOTAL MESS! WHAT THE HELL!!!!! OH PLEASE, NOT AGAIN!

These were the only things I keep thinking about when reading this book. This is the way I felt about the life of the protagonist in this book.

Lilly, the protagonist of the book, is a cop's daughter and falls for the drug dealer, Johnny, at the start of the book, in spite of the repeated warnings from her father. Her father throws her out and she becomes pregnant with his child, when she gets the news that Johnny is dead. Johnny's friend, Diego (another drug dealer), says that he will take care of her and her baby and asks her to marry him. She does and soon falls in love with her bodyguard and Diego's half-brother, Max.

I hate Lilly's character..its just disgusting. I liked every one of the men she got involved with - at least they can be categorised under a character and are stable. And at least they don't want to be with every girl they come across. Total waste of three gorgeous men over a girl, who wants to sleep with every men who has a six pack and looks pretty! I really really couldn't stand Lilly's so-called 'innocence' and 'naivity'.

The other characters were likeable. The characters of Hector, Max and Lilly's kid was so cute and adorable. Max's character was romantic and I felt like Lilly don't deserve Max. It felt just so unfair that she can't remain true to any of her men. Well, I think I made it clear that I don't like Lilly even a bit..so, I will move on to other things.

But the author has done a good story-telling and it was good to know the brothers. That was the consolation I have now. This is a series and you have a cliffhanger waiting for you in the end. Although this book is not for me, I found that some readers find it gripping because of the thriller part.

Had me occupied, but this book is not for me!

It was Easter Sunday; the day Lilly's life went from safe and comfortable to dangerously unfamiliar. Her transformation takes her from a small town girl having an affair with a low ranked gangster in the Montiago crime syndicate, to a woman of grace and fortitude married to the head of the organization.

Easter's Lilly is an inspired journey from the idyllic to the darker side of self-discovery. Read as the over-privileged brothers embark on their journey that twists and turns down the road of unbridled passion in this first book of the series.

What Stephanie Thinks: The world is unimaginably terrifying to innocent and absurdly naïve Lilly. Danger, paired with her insatiable rebellion, allures her to the obscure and illicit drug market. She soon finds herself in the hands of the handsome, but abusive Diego Montiago: powerful drug lord and shameful scoundrel. The largest of problems arises from his three brothers, however: Hector can't seem to keep his hands off her, Max just might be falling in love with her, and Jorge wants her dead.

Serrano creates an ambitious drama-filled suspense and love story in Easter's Lilly. A lot of the plot seems very farfetched to me; all the actions taken and words spoken would likely only be found in a soap opera. The realistic factor is therefore not very high, but that doesn't mean the book is any less intriguing. Why do people watch soaps anyway? The high tension and cutthroat theatrical, of course. Easter's Lilly is similar to the high-strung daytime soap operas because of its near fantasy scenario. It's an escape from the lows of actuality, which keeps each of us holding on.

I, at first, based off Lilly's character, thought the author was painfully foolish. Lilly is a bit of an idiot; she just can't seem to make up her mind and doesn't seem very confident about her beliefs and decisions. However, Serrano makes up for it by making the other characters wise and knowledgable. Even though Lilly acts immaturely for her age, she's a lively, lovable character, and though while reading, I just wanted to smack her upside into reality, I also often felt the pain of her dilemmas.

There's continuous action throughout this novel, which makes it hard to put down. That being said, one thing that surprised me is how nonchalantly all the characters react to all the racket. Each of the Montiago brothers end up in the ER (more than once each, I should add), but they mostly shrug it off like "Oh, it happens all the time." Also, when Lilly realizes she's in love with her husband's brother, her husband just lets it slide. I won't say any more for now, as I don't want to spoil it for you, but that's just something that irks me.

The ending is gripping -- an unexpected and abrupt conclusion to a drawn-out tale. It obviously isn't an ending of course, as there is a sequel in the making, and I can assuredly say I will be picking it up upon its release.

Stephanie Loves: "'You are my reason for drawing breath every morning.'"

Radical Rating: 8 hearts- Would recommend to lots of really good friends.

I took a chance with this book and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! It had many twist and turns in the book, I was not sure what was next. The love story, drug lord, brotherly love, and trials mixed into one, I was not sure what character came next. I felt like Lilly, so confused, but so intrigued. So well worth the read. I plan to keep this book again and read it again and again.

Original review here: http://offbeatvagabond.blogspot.com/2013/11/easters-lilly-blog-tour-interview.html

Easter's Lilly is an interesting read that follows a young woman's spiral into the mob world. Lilly is young and doesn't have a lot of life experience. She falls for a guy named Johnny that has quite the record. He is a drug dealer and quite possibly, a murderer. She has been warned to stay away from him from her father (who is a cop), that he is very dangerous. But her not listening has major repercussions. She is quickly sucked into a world she never thought she would enter. A world where drugs and murder are the norm. Lilly is now on the run for her life and who she is running from is the last person she would expect.

Oh boy. Talk about 180 degrees (maybe not a complete 180, but it is better from where I started). My feelings for this book went from one extreme to another. I have to say I ended up liking it, but it took a while to get there. This book was very close to being my very first DNF (Did Not Finish). Why, you may ask? I will tell you why. Lilly! Freaking Lilly! I couldn't stand her. I could probably write an essay on all the notes I wrote when she did something stupid and man, there were a lot. You guys know Bella Swan is the bane of my existence, Well, Lilly made Bella look like a genius. I understand she was naive, but there is a thin line between naive and stupid, and I think Lilly crossed it quite a few times. She was selfish as hell and I just couldn't put up with her anymore. Something awful happens to the man she supposedly loves and instead of crying or asking questions like a normal person, her first thing to say is. "I am all alone". This was ridiculous since she still had family who she abandoned (after a near miss), but again, it was all about a man, She just never acted the way someone would in extreme situations. After the incident, she turns around and starts thinking about the two other men that immediately enter her life after that. Her head always seemed to be in the clouds or something. But I stuck with this book even though I couldn't stand Lilly.

Close to the halfway point, the book started to change because we started to focus on other characters. Enter the most interesting and dangerous family ever, the Montiago brothers. We meet the men that are meant to protect Lilly. Hector, Max and Diego. Diego is the most dangerous one and the leader. He is married to Lilly now and wants her protected by his brothers, Hector and Max. Her and Max develop quite the connection in the book. As a matter of fact, she has great connections with all the men in this book and I don't get it. Lilly gets easily confused and falls in love with whoever is in her personal space. I didn't understand why the men were fighting over her. Even Hector (who I am so in love with), points out the things I am thinking. He talks about how confused Lilly can get and how she doesn't seem to understand certain situations. I loved all the men even Diego who you will hate and for good reason. The men carried this book well. Their mob life was scary and insane. Even amongst all their chaos, I love that they had personalities and were able to joke around, Hector and Max especially. Lilly doesn't deserve any of them, she just doesn't.

Like I said, the story kicks up nearly halfway when things with Diego really go south and we meet Jorge, who is also a fellow criminal (a very scary criminal). Things between Lilly and Max heat up and they know that if Diego found out, someone will definitely be dead. The FBI are now involved with their life and better yet, Lilly's dad is involved. They are on the run and Diego and Jorge are on their tracks. People are dropping like flies and worse yet, it seems as though they can't trust a lot of their friends. Someone has ratted them out and has been spying on them. It was quite a thrilling read to say the least. I couldn't believe where the book went. My mouth hit the floor.

I could go on all day about Lilly. Now I will say, she slowly starts to show some spine later on in the book. The book really is about self-discovery, but Lilly does have some ways to go. I don't dislike her quite as much as I did in the beginning, but I am still not a fan. She still makes some very dumb decisions for me. Like I said, the men were amazing. This book would have gotten 5 stars if we followed them instead of Lilly. They were just so entertaining. They can be badasses one second and have me smiling the next. This book was thrilling and intriguing. I am glad I didn't give up on it like I thought I would. As much as I am not a fan of Lilly's, I did feel for her and her story. Serrano managed to make this book frustratingly fascinating. I have never seen anything like it. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a romantic suspense featuring some insanely sexy mobsters. But be warned, if you like strong females, you will have some issues here like I did. I know this all is a growing experience for Lilly, so I am looking forward to seeing her snap out of it and know what she wants in the future. I am very curious about this series. This book ends on quite a cliffhanger and I do want more.

I love this book! I read it for the first time in high school, the author was my English teacher! It was so good I was glued to and the rest of the series! I finally was able to buy the whole series and I'm reading it all over again! I 100% recommend if you want a book that you can't put down.

This is the first book I've read by Judy Serrano and the first book of the series. I'll admit it...I can't wait to read the next one!

At first I was a little unsure if I would actually like this one or not. It was a little sluggish and I couldn't stand Lilly (the heroine). However, once the action and drama heated up I was drawn like a moth to the flame. It was hard to walk away from. Judy Serrano has a way with words and she did a wonderful job making the action and gun play seem realistic. Unlike a lot of books it seems forced and its hard for me to envision whats going on.

Not only was I entranced by the words and action, but I was very interested in the darker side of the world. We've all heard of the drug lords and etc, but it was interesting to see "behind the scenes". You have to be careful each and every step or you'll end up dead. I loved the tension and the story of love between Max and Lilly. It was such a cute and innocent romance, buuut I can't stand Max or Lilly. How odd?

I feel like Lilly is suffering from the Bella-Swan syndrome. I'll say it bluntly...Lilly is an idiot. However, every SINGLE man "falls" in love with her. How? Why? Yes, she's pretty, but she's an idiot. I don't understand it. Her personality is highly flawed, like Bella Swan from the Twilight saga, but every yahoo wants her and "needs" her. I simply don't understand.

ANYWAYS, sorry for the rant up there.

The ending was a love-hate thing for me. I felt like there were many different ending the author picked, but she just added them all and ended with a ginormous cliff-hanging. I mean HUGE! I felt like I was running along with the story at full speed, then I tripped over a rock and slide off the edge of a cliff and now I'm dangling by with by a twig. That's how I feel with that ending. Yes, cliff-hangers are a good thing, but you can't just leave it the way she did! *SPOILER ALERT* She ended it with Lilly's first child being kidnapped! All you read is that they're looking for the child, while Lilly is cuddling with Little Diego's teddy bear. UGGGH! It's driving me bananas *END OF SPOILER* However, I loved the ending. It's a great way to make the readers wanting to read the next in the series. Brava, Judy Serrano! Brava!

Besides for Lilly and my love-hate for the ending, I really enjoyed this book. It was certainly an adventure and a drama! I can defiantly see this becoming a TV show or a movie. If it were to become either of the two, I would watch it. I would recommend this to those who would love a good action/drama, gangster lovers, and for those who just like a good book. Out of five stars I grant this one 4 stars. ^.^

Favorite Character(s): Hector (such a sweety), the beginning Max (a sweetheart) , and Little Diego (just a cute kid)
Not-so Favorite Character(s): Lilly (she is suffering from Bella-Swan syndrome) and near the end Max (I have a bad feeling about him...)

*I received this book from the Author via As You Wish Tours in exchange for an Honest Review*

This was definitely an interesting book. A real good look at a cartel's structure, starting with the dirty cops and local drug deals and ending with the enforcers and the big guy who runs the show.
Our story follows Lilly O'Hara a twenty-three year old, who in my opinion, had the mentality of a teenager. Lilly was seriously the most naiive person in the world. She lives at home with her parents, who treat her like she's a child until she ends up pregnant by a local dealer and in the hospital.
From that moment on, Lilly's life spirals out of control and before she finds herself married to the head of the cartel. Bad things start to happen, and always on or around Easter Sunday after that.
The book spans a course of years, and while I absolutely find myself loving it, there is at least one thing that bothered me, aside from the grammatical errors I found, Dieguito, her son with the local dealer, is barely mentioned throughout the book until almost the end. With all the time Lilly spent in that house, she seemed to care about which brother to have sex with than with her own child, who was always left with a nanny, even though his mother never went anywhere.
Lilly's sexual appetite I found to be a slightly annoying. She never seemed to know who wanted to be with and threw fits and got "confused" whenever she was caught by her husband.
All in all, the book was still able to hold my attention and I am really eager to read Brother Number Three, which is the second book in the series.
I give this book 4 of 5 paws

Review: This may have been the first in the story but it felt like it was the first through like the fourth. This book would have been so much better if it was spread out better but no. Its all complied into one book then it leaves you with a cliffhanger. Why did I give it a four you may ask. Well here's my simple answer it had a great story line and amazing characters if you look past how much is skipped or ignored and how many years this book goes through in 293 pages it is a great book. With strong characters and probably a little bit to many physiological problems. I do really wish I would have just followed what I wrote down but I had to say that first. It's not that I didn't love the book I did! I read it and finished it the first day I got it and it's been a while since I have done that but... I just wish there was something more to it. Maybe I don't understand what she was doing but that's how I feel this is not a book I would buy it's a book I would borrow from the library and see how I feel about it then. After I wrote this I looked at the reviews on Amazon either I was to mean or I was alone. Although I do agree that the book grabbed me from the first page and kept me reading I did have problems to help you under stand what I am talking about I have attached the Amazon reviews here.

Judy has masterfully written a love story full of so much passion, courage, strength, and oh, the excitement! Easter's Lilly is stuffed full of non-stop action and will leave you falling in love, yearning for more.

Lilly has always done good by her parents. Always followed by the rules. Yet, when she meets bad boy Johnny and her father asks her to stay away she just can't. He has his reasons, and she has hers. Johnny is a drug dealer, yet he never brings them around her. She has no choice but to leave her parents and go away with Johnny.
Suddenly, Johnny is in a bad accident, leaving Lilly pregnant and alone.
All seems to be taken care of though.
Diego, Johnny's boss is more than willing to take Lilly in and marry her. Accept the child as his own. This must be a great man to do such a thing!

Once Lilly is at her new home, she learns that she gets a full time bodyguard. Diego isn't just anybody. He's in the mob. Over time, Lilly realizes that her marriage with Diego means nothing. Just a ring on a finger. That's it. Her bodygaurd is Diego's brother Max. Lilly and Max spend more time together than her and Diego. Max is the one that's there when the baby is born. Max is always the one who's there. Diego see's the flirting at the breakfast table. He doesn't even mind it. When Lilly and Max have finally realized they have fallen in love, that's when Diego decides he wants his wife back. The flirting must stop!
He's decided Lilly must love him and not Max. He's in the mob after all. He can make things happen...
But they love each other.
Diego now wants a baby.
Lilly loves Max.
Diego is powerful.
Lilly can't just say no to her husband, she knows what he's capable of. Yet, her heart is with his brother Max. What's a girl to do?

Easter's Lilly was anything except a boring read. Serrano does an amazing job at entertaining the reader as Lilly's story unfolds. The characters are also intriguing- and will keep you reading to see what's up with each of them. Also, the relationships in this book are, for the most part, very real- especially in regards to the 4 brothers that Lilly lives with and interacts with. From nearly killing one another, to desperately doing anything to save one another, these men embody the very essence of what is- in my female and outsider's-view mind- brotherhood.

Easter’s Lilly is definitely packed full from beginning to end, and never is it predictable. The characters- all of them- grow and change throughout the story, so even if you start out not-liking one, by the end that character could be your favorite. And one thing that I really liked is that all of the characters have some type of noticeable flaw that is their weakness- and that flaw isn’t always overcome either. Granted, this is the first in a three-book series, so I’m sure that these flaws will prove to be worked on throughout the rest of the story, but I like how, at least in the first book, each character has a pretty even score of good and bad traits.
Also, while this is not by any means a “comedic” book, Serrano does an amazing job weaving in the kind of humor one would expect to be found in a book that revolves around a girl and a group of adult brothers. Ongoing jokes between the brothers- while never hilarious enough to cause the reader to drop the book and loose their place, are definitely entertaining and evolve throughout the book as well.

This story was fast paced and kept me up all night long! I cannot begin to explain how the author pulled me in, left me breathless and kept me wanting more. The cover art is fitting for the story. The title speaks for itself once you read the book. I couldn't put the book down after getting into the story and ended up loving the characters as the story played out.

Not even her father, the chief of police, can keep Lilly away from Johnny Malone. One night of passion and Lilly finds her life has taken an unexpected turn for the worse. Johnny's not coming back and now she's faced with a marriage proposal her life may very well depend on. Although as sexy as her husband may be, she finds he leaves her alone while he runs the family business. As the days go by and the nights grow colder she finds herself spending more and more time with her bodyguard.

While assigned to protect Lilly at all cost by his very own brother, Maxwell finds he cannot protect her from himself. As each day passes their relationship grows stronger. The uncertainty in his brother's eyes sends a chill up his spine. He cannot ignore his brother's verbal accusations when they turn into emotional and physical abuse. His heart breaks each day his baby girl endures the pain and suffering his brother puts her through.

Diego knows he's lost Lilly's heart but he's unwilling to let her go so easily. To prove how he's changed he doesn't force himself upon her, abuse or neglect her anymore. Instead he allows her to come to him in the night with the intent of starting a family. Can he win her heart before it's too late, or will Lilly find a way to change her fate?

I was completely captivated by this book. Lilly is a young, naive girl who gets mixed up with some people she shouldn't. Johnny is a drug dealer and womanizer, but when he disappears, her life gets infinitely more complicated. She is quickly married by Diago, one of the top men in the Montiago drug ring and has complicated relationships with all four brothers in the family. Three of them love her, in their own way, one brother is her anchor, while another her husband and another her protector....while the last wants her dead !
Honestly, reading the first couple chapters I didn't know how I was going to feel about this book, I wasn't overly thrilled with one of what I thought was going to be a main character. Of course, he was a guy you weren't supposed to like so I was feeling what the author wanted me to feel toward him! Lilly is a completely naive and lovable character. The author paints a vivid portrait of what could easily happen to someone who is in that 'world'. It world full of violence and drama that could easily confuse and hurt you . The four brothers are wonderfully developed characters. I absolutely adore the little boy!
I rate this a 5/5. I completely enjoyed it and plan to start reading the second in this series ASAP. I will caution everyone that this isn't a 'clean' read, there is rape, drugs, violence and sex in it, but the author does a wonderful job of making it all just flow.

Young Lily loses her innocence to Johnny, a smalltime drug dealer. She is warned by everyone, namely her father, to stay away from him. After she gets pregnant by Johnny and he supposedly gets killed in an automobile accident she’s all alone. The very handsome Diego, Johnny’s boss and a powerful drug lord, takes her in and marries her promising her he will take care of her and the baby. He has no interest in a real marriage with her for the first two years and has Max, his brother, be her bodyguard. Things get more complicated when Lily and Max fall in love which drives Diego crazy and makes him want to have a real relationship with his wife. Diego forces himself on her and beats her, jealous of her and Max being in love. He accuses them of having an intimate relationship, although they have not been, until he decides he wants to get her pregnant. She turns to Max begging him to impregnate her so she doesn’t have Diego’s baby.
Easter’s Lily is an intriguing story of a young girl caught in a love triangle with men who are very dark, handsome and dangerous. Judy Serrano has a natural way of telling the story as her characters and plot unfold leaving you wanting more. You’ll love some of the characters and hate others, and at times, love the ones you previously hated.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys complicated romance with action. I look forward to reading Brother Number 3.

I would like to start off my first saying I hate giving bad reviews because I believe every author goes through a lot to put themselves out there , that being said Easter's Lily was not what I would call a fabulous book. The idea of the story was good , Lily being a good girl the daughter of a cop , only to get into a relationship with a gangster. My problem with the book is everything happened to fast . Lily meets John, Lily sleeps with John, John gets Lily preggos, and then he dies , and Lily marries a high ranked gangster .. my problem with that it that all of those things happened with in the first 84 or so pages. There was no realistic quality to the book for me . All that aside I will be reading the next book because I think everyone deserves a second chance. I think if the story where to slow down a moment , build some monument instead throwing it all at you at once I would enjoy it more . I do look forward to seeing the next book and how the author will move on with the lives of those in Easter's Lily.
well folks that is my review , and by all means do not let my review throw you off from reading this book , because not everyone is looking for the same thing when it comes to books. :)

I reviewed this book from Ever After Pr and the author Judy Serrano and I have not been compensated for this book other than getting to read it.

I started out reading this book and thought I had missed some pages. The relationship with Lilly and Johnny just seemed so quick. There was no build up to their relationship and it just seemed they jumped into it. I also didn't like Lilly at first because she just seemed so clingy and too easy going. She started to grow on me though and I feel in love with her and wanted to keep reading to see her story play out. I personally couldn't stand Deigo and all but feel in love with Max and Hector. While I didn't care for Diego with his relationship with Lilly I loved him interacting with his brothers. Their relationship was great to see even with all the flaws they have. They really had a true love/hate relationship. I loved to see how how much Max really cared for Lilly and took care of her from the beginning and I can't wait to see their relationship grow. On that same not I really didn't care for all the bed hopping in the beginning. It was just too much going on. I loved Hector because he felt like the big brother that even one loves. Overall I would recommend this book to others. It has a little bit of everything. There is suspense, intrigue, love and a good bit of twists and turns thrown in. I have to read the next book in this series due to the cliffhanger ending.

This book is a page turner that I couldn't put down!

Easter's Lilly, where do I start? After seeing some great reviews, I followed a link to get this book for free. I was pleasantly surprised as I have never been inclined to read a romance, mobster type book. Once I started reading the book, I could not put it down. The characters are very intriguing from start to finish. Judy Serrano knows how to keep you wondering. The in depth detail about a crime family and their entanglement with the FBI was fascinating. As for the romance, there are plenty of tensions and romance but it is so tactfully done. You easily read between the lines because the author is so gifted at keeping the story line flowing without exploiting the characters. After devouring this book, I immediately went and PAID for the download of the other two in the series. Each book was better than the previous. I am awaiting the next in the series. I definitely recommend this book to anyone, no matter what genre you enjoy.

Easter's Lilly by Judy Serrano follows Lilly through an interesting life journey. An affair with a drug dealer leads her into a life of danger and darkness. She also finds love and in a twisted way, family. What I liked about this book is the concept. I think the idea for the story was really good and had great potential. I did like the characters in the book. They are pretty well written. Lilly is grows up a lot in the book and I had a lot of sympathy for her situation.

What I didn't like about the book is the amount of stuff that is packed into it. It was filled with so many twists and turns that seem to come out of nowhere. The pacing of the book didn't work well for me. I feel like there was a lot that could have been cut out of this book and the story would have still worked well. Clearly this is not a stand alone novel as the book ends with a huge cliff hanger. I will probably read the next one because I want to know what happens next.

I loved this book from the very start. Lilly was naive to say the least!
I was 100% gripped.

To read the twists and turns and why Easter Sunday was such a predominant date in her life. The love triangle between two brothers, Living with them both in one house and giving into temptation.

Not only was the book about the love life of Lilly, her naivity and the way it effects her mentally but it was about her life being married to the head of a drug organisation and the danger in which that kind of life is led for Lilly and her children and also of the betrayal from certain people she trusted.

The end of the book was left with a massive cliff hanger and being as involved in the book as I was I NEEDED to read the second book, Brother Number 3 straight away.

I really enjoyed reading Easter’s Lilly and would recommend this to anyone that asked me what great books have you read lately.

Judy Serrano is a great author never leaving a dull moment in the book.

After one party Lilly, she wakes up in bed to a complete stranger. He is Johnny. He explain to her that he rescued her from not to being seen by her father on that party, but her father although not saw her he knows.
Lilly’s father is a cop. Johnny is drugs dealer, Lilly’s father and other people told her about him, but she don’t listen. She falls in love with Johnny.
Johnny has bad accident and leaving Lilly pregnant and alone.
Lilly is seems like good girl, educated and well-raised, but about Johnny she acting not responsible I don’t like that behaviour and when I read about that I was mad to her. It seems that she is one of those women who are attracted by the bad boys.
There so much mystery and intrigue with romance sparkles through the pages until the end of the book. Drug dealers and cops good and bed made the book interesting and full of violence and keep reader in attention to the last page.

A drama of sorts that made me feel like I had turned on a soap opera. A tale of four brothers and the woman who got all tangled up in the family. With twists and turns, I had no idea where this book was going to end up. Dirty cops and drug dealers made the book interesting and full of violence.

To be completely honest, I still don’t know where I stand on this book. It was a page turner and it ended with a great cliffhanger that had me wondering what would come next. But with all the sex, lies and guns – this book was full of pure drama. I stepped onto the set of a soap opera where the woman sleeps with two brothers and has children with two different men.

I don’t tend to go for the extreme drama in books, so I am not sure if I will pick up the next one in the series, but I am sure going to wonder about what happens beyond the major cliffhanger.

I felt the beginning of the book was too rushed. It felt like the author had a story in her mind she just needed to get out quickly.

After awhile it slowed down. When I say slowed down, I mean to a pace where its action packed and a page turner but it wasn't so fast you were left confused.

Once it got to that part for me...I couldn't put the book down. It was definitely a page turner.

There are parts where I just wanted to slap Lilly silly to be honest. It was like really girl? What are you doing?

I think that's what makes a great book though. It's always a great book when you are that invested into the characters.

I read this book in a day just about. I started it around 9:30am on the 25th and ended it at almost 5am on the 26th.

I tried to sleep but I found myself thinking of the story too much. I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 only because of the beginning.

I am so glad to be at the end of this book. The first 20% can only be described as shambolic. I had no idea what was going on. Things where flying in left, right and centre with no explanation or direction.

It got marginally better after that but it was still really hard work to read. After a while, the story started to take interesting turns but it was so badly written it felt like there were constant blanks to be filled.

The female lead 'Lily' was so annoying with her indecisive, girlie and wishy washy behaviour. The males were ok but their characters were inconsistent. It was as though, the author changed their personality based on where she wanted the story to go instead of building a story around their characters.

The story has some potential but was honestly painful at times. Needless to say, I won't be reading the rest of the series.

I was lucky enough to find this for free at Amazon. Reading the synopsis, I decided to go ahead and give it a try. (I mean it was free). I'm so glad that I did. I read this book in one night. I loved all of the characters and found myself cheering for the least expected. I gave this book 4 stars only because I felt the beginning story line was rushed with Johnny. I didn't see how she fell in love with him so fast. Other than that, it was action pact, with drama and plenty of romance.
I was just thankful that all 4 books were out after I read this one. I bought the other 3 and read all weekend. Not sure how happy the hubby was, but I was content knowing how the story line ended. I did see where the author left room for another book, but even she she didn't there's no major cliffhangers.

I found Easter’s Lilly to be a compelling story between a young woman and three very bad boys. Lilly, the daughter of a local police chief, was a very naive 23 year old who fell for Johnny, a local druggie and dealer. Through a series of events she’s thrust into the dark violent world of a drug cartel. She experiences so many losses and hardships even though she’s materialistically got the world at her fingertips.

I loved the twists and turns in the plot. It’s intricate and fast pace, never a dull moment. The most interesting parts of the story for me was the relationships she develops with Max, Diego, and Hector. Three very hot latino men. Once you start reading Easter’s Lilly you won’t be able to put it down. I blinked and I was on chapter 12. You just can’t stop!

'Easter's Lilly' was a wonderful read. I enjoyed this book so much and can't wait until the next in the series. The author, Judy Serrano so expertly wrote of places and people, that I was immediately drawn into the story. Each chapter held something unexpected. I could not set this book down. This is a unique storyline, pitting romance against a high-ranking drug lord.

I really loved the way the author developed the romance between Lilly and the man she falls in love with. Should all romances be this sweet!

I suggest a nice quiet day where you are kicked back in a comfortable chair because you will not want to stop reading.

Ehhh I don't really know what to say about this one. I was mostly disappointed in the main character Lilly. I just didn't like her at all. It's hard to get engrossed in a novel when you don't like one of the leads. I don't mind a damsel in distress that needs the knight in shinning armor to rescue her. However, when that damsel flip flops between the two 'heros' like they are two different deserts she can't choose between we have a problem. Overall I thought the story was excellent. The whole concept was very intriguing. I loved the parts of the story that involved only the brothers. I just wish Lilly was more likable and that there were less jumps in time. This one was 2.5 stars.

I feel like is a bad joke. This is probably the worst book I've ever read. Homegirl meets a guy, washes his pants, goes for a walk and is in love. True deep passionate love. Right. Dad knows one sentence and he repeats it - over and over. Makes a ton of sense that guys brother would be like, "hey girl. My brother just died and I love you and I want to marry you." Because I know when I meet a stranger that's my first thought/reaction. I'm actually mad I paid $3.99 for this. I never would demand a refund for a book - but this was truly the worst book I've ever read.

Love, loved, loved this read. not much of a girl book reader or even a reader at all. Not only did the Montiago men want her, so did I. I was entranced in the story line and transported into one of the Montiago men. Yes It was MAX. Recommend the read hands down. Oh my gosh the love scenes were amazing. Ever feel like you were missing out. Not anymore. This is a must read.

I liked the book but I felt like the story was very very fast paced and scattered. At some points it was hard to keep up. I am still going to read the second one and hope for the best.
