Gabriel

Over 600 years ago...I was but a human boy.
A twin with different eyes and two other troublesome brothers who made my life hell.
Stripped of my humanity, I flee my homeland in grief with my enemies.
Through the warring times, I discover love, death, and secrets.
By trial and error with immortality, I began a society, for vampires.
The Society was wrought with corruption, and I would spend years plotting and planning just to achieve my dying wish.
To live and die for the people I love. And take down The Council.
My last hope was to be redeemed by the blue-eyed Angel of Death, delivering my final sentence.

I just want to say that it's surprisingly difficult to write a historical vampire romance when you're not a historian... 😅I did what I could with research and speaking to people from the countries written in Fire along with some of the language changes through the centuries, and I hope it comes across.
The good news about being a writer is that you get to try new things and explore outside your comfort zone. 😅

I also want to note how difficult it is for me to write non-HEA 😭😭
This has been different than anything I've written, and it has been a long journey.

I've never written a character like Gabriel. He's a shape-shifting vampire who's a lover of men and women, promiscuous without shame, comfortable in his sexuality, and is shaped into a role that he falls into. I feel like many of us can relate to falling into these roles and traumas we don't want to be in.
So. We pave our own pathways. Sometimes the destination is the same, while other times it isn't.
I could go on and on, but of course, read and decide for yourself.

This is a standalone, but it is recommended to read the main storyline for the broad scope and the intertwining details.
Gabriel is mentioned in Into the Black, but he officially appears with his madness in Red.. and remembered in the aftermath of what's left behind in Into the Blue.

I didn't have the heart to end Fire the same way as Red, and those details are summarized here in this one.
It is bittersweet. All of it.
I hope readers can still enjoy this one, and it's okay if it's not for you, too!

Into the Fire by R.N.A is part of the Triad Bite Series. This is the first book I’m reading by this author and I will say this is very good. It’s said that it’s a standalone but I feel like if I read the Triad Bite Series I would have more insight into Gabriel. Don’t get me wrong this book was an emotionally charged rollercoaster that I was on board for. I also flew through this book, I was invested in where the story would go. I love a good vampire storyline and this has surpassed good! It was such an intense read that just captivated me. I loved the way the author wrote this book and I’m definitely going to be checking out the other books before this one. I recommend reading this book. I will be adding this author to my watch list, as I can’t say enough good things about Into the Fire.

I will say these trigger warnings are not just there to look pretty. This author has always created immersive reads - it is very easy to get lost into the story. I read the first book of this series, and I skimmed the second because I wasn't sure how much of the other storyline I needed to know before I started on Gabriel's book. It is clear from the beginning of the book that there is so much more to the story than the narrative that was painted of him during the rest of the series. Gabriel finally gets his side of the story told and I was not prepared. This book will literally take you into the fire emotionally with an epic tragedy of Shakespearean proportions.

"Into The Fire" can be read as a standalone, but if you've already read the first three books in the "Triad Bite" series you already know how Gabriel's story ends. That didn't make this book any less intense; in a way the passing of time felt like slowly getting closer to his ultimate end... Finding out all the details from Gabriel's past, and watch him meet the characters that play a crucial role in the previous books was quite fascinating. And even though I don't believe his past really excuses the choices he made, it does help explain them all and how jealously, greed and power can destroy even the most beautiful things.

RNA's books always feel like an unexplainable combination of realistic emotions, original paranormal parameters, characters who skate the edge of "morally grey", and kinky spice. Even though this series is paranormal, the way darker emotions play a role in the choices these people make are very relatable. None of these people are infallible; some even make decisions that sincerely make me detest them at the time, but when you continue reading it somehow starts to make sense somehow. It creates a storyline that always leaves me with mixed feelings about everything I've read.

So yeah; this author writes awesome emotionally damaging reads. I had a slightly harder time getting into this story for some reason, but it didn't make it any less intense compared to the first three books.

A technical standalone book but reads very well after the first 3 books in the Triad Bite series. Our orange eye main character is who this book follows over the course of his lifetime - so many many years of this vampires life.

Having read the previous books in this series, there's a massive love-hate relationship with Gabriel. This book gave me such a better insight into his character as well as the development of his story. While I still have some not so nice feelings towards this character for all the crazy he was the instigator of - it was almost justified with his back story and knowing where his pain and trauma stemmed from.

This book goes more into detail of Gabriel's life before Karina as that is what we never really got a great glimpse of in past books. While I would have loved more perspective of Gabe's time with Karina we already know what happens so it would have been a lot of rewriting what has already happened. (Definitely go read the other books)

While I wasn't as emotional with the end of this book as I was the last book, suffice it to say, I knew what was coming. I did however LOVE that we got to see more about the 'Dark Twins' and all the fun spicy scenes that entailed!

I would re-read this entire series again and again as it was just magnificent and I will miss these characters immensely!

This book is a standalone. The author recommends you need to read the first couple of books before this one although it is not necessary. I didn’t read any of the books previous to this one and was still able to read this book with not much hassle at all. It took me a little while to get into this book with the language that is used but once I did I just couldn’t put it down. The book is from one point of view, but that did not deter me from reading it. At the beginning Gabriel was a human, who had a twin with different eyes and another 2 brothers who made his life a living hell. They would never allow him to be happy. So much happens in between Gabriel being human and becoming immortal. Eventually he created a society for vampires, that him and his 3 brother ran. But he found the society he created was full of corruption, and he would spend the better part of his life plotting and planning on how to take this society down. Dam this book was amazing and I definitely need to add the others into my TBR pile

If you're perusing this review section to determine if you should pick up this book. Stop what you're doing and RUN to download or buy this book. You won't regret it for a second.
Not only is the is an origin story about Gabriel (who I became so invested in!), but the 'prequel' could be read as a stand alone without the rest of the series (but you'll want to devour that, too after reading this).
On a couple of occasions I wanted to throw my Kindle in frustration and horror over the downright vile things that Gabriel (and his loves) endured at his brothers' hands. Btw I wanted revenge so freaking badly against them all.
The steam is next level and the fact that Gabriel is more than just a vampire-his shifting ability not only added so much to the whole story but (fanning myself) his shifting made incredible groupings. I could not get enough of him with his dark eyed lovers. So, so hot.
R.N.A is an incredibly talented author -weaving a tale both unique and compelling. Loved it and could not put it down!

Into The Fire is Book 4 of the Triad Bite series and can be read as a standalone, but it is much better read in order of the series for your own enjoyment.

This book blew me away from the first page I enjoyed the intensity of the story and the characters were epic. This book if through Gabriel's POV.

I really felt for Gabriel for everything he has gone through in his past, he is such a strong character. His personality was great to read, you can see just what sort of person he is, he captivated me from the first page.

I must admit I haven't read the other books yet but after this one I amngoing to start from the beginning as it will give me more of an Insight hiw Gabriel was in the other books.

This book made me fan myself, laugh, cry. It just wrecked me completely. If you have read the triad bite series, you get every perspective on Gabriel except his and let me tell you, you need his perspective. I love to see inside the minds of villians but this book really had me questioning whether Gabriel was truly a villain. He loved hard…and frequently lol. The different relationships he cultivated were truly beautiful and this is a shining example of polyamory in all its beauty. It was just beautifully written. And it was hot! RNA has a different way of writing spice than you commonly see; some of her terminology is different but not cringey.

So, this is a standalone and the first book I read, but I definitely think I am going to go back and read the other books, so I can see more of Gabriel's time with Karina. Please check trigger warnings. A couple parts got me, but I did read warnings, so I knew it was coming. Goodness my heart went out for Gabriel even though I felt he was a hard character to like, the history justified it. So much pain and heartache over a long period of time. I'm glad we got to see this POV and history of it. I think it will help when I read the other books. Good read.

This telling of Gabriel’s story was insightful. While it’s a standalone book; the series created a certain bias toward him. It’s typical to have preconceived notions of how a person is without “walking in their shoes”. This walk covers centuries of love and heartbreak, trust and betrayal, friendship, family and of course life and death.

There are so many words I want to share but that would give away so much , and I want you to read it. The author posses such a way to convey emotions through the actions of others.

Getting insight into one of the characters from the main series was such a treat! This book will really give readers a better understanding of the vampire Gabriel. While things were mentioned in the original trilogy, Into the Fire will give readers first hand accounts of the events and much more depth of the characters and their future motivations. While this is a standalone, I think having read the rest of the series will give readers even more joy reading this addition to the world.

Into the fire is the *technically* the fourth book in the Triad Bites series but is also standalone prequel. It is highly recommended that you read the trilogy to get the full experience.

This was fantastic. We get more of an insight of Gabriel's past. And what an emotional rollercoaster this was! I COMPLETELY devoured it! R.N.A Author did such an amazing job on Gabriel's origin story. Gabriel went through so much sh** but I'm so glad to see his side of things. This is one you can read either before or after Triad Bites series. But I cannot recommend this series enough!!

This book was very intense for me! I will say this is the first in the series I’ve read so I didn’t have the back story that exists elsewhere. I will absolutely be going back and reading those now that I have been introduced to this world! Gabriel is not an easy character to like but I really enjoyed reading about his experiences.

Couldn't put this down!

This book was wild and intense but then again it was perfect. It had a perfect emotional charge for the amount of history that was packed into this book. Gabriels story left me heartbroken from all the pain and heartache her suffered but it came to a well deserved ending about his experiences and everything he went through.

"Gabriel story was insightful. This wasn't my first book of the author so I remembered her style, yet the narrative, development and background were stunning. Complex, intruiging and no for the faint heart. After many years of existence is understandable none can have zero life changing experiences and our H wasn't the exception."

This was an intense read for me and I’m still processing it as it’s not something I would normally read. Saying that it was well written with a complex hero who’s led an interesting life. The lack of HEA bothered me a bit but didn’t take away from the story

Gabriel was once a human boy but that all changed when he lost his family and everything else. He goes with his enemies and he will go through so many different trials in the last 600 hundred years. What will he face next? Will his life get any better? See just where he will take you

Good story that is super intense and covers a lot of history. Gabriel and his story really blur the line between who is the hero and who is the villain and leave you wondering.

This story wrenched at my heart so many times and made me want to cry. It runs the gamut of emotions and will jerk you around a lot from contrary emotions. Gabriel has had so many painful things to deal with. I adored his relationships and how he interacted with other characters. I didn’t want this to end and it was definitely one that needs tissues. There’s so much emotions and action. The ending was definitely extremely worth it.

Gabriel's story was everything that I came come to expect from this author. You feel every single emotion as you read from page to page, until you realise you're crying happy tears. The story is so well crafted, the characters so well-thought-out and written that you feel like you are there, it is happening to you in that moment. If you're looking for an original, non-mainstream vampire story, this is it.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "INTO THE FIRE" (TRIAD BITE 4) This is such an interesting, intriguing, unique spense filled paranormal adventure, death, secrets, sadness, grief, sibling rivalry, jealousy, vicious brutal deaths, emotional turmoil, morally grey areas, steamy scenes, heartbreak, beteatal, with Vampire's, Shifters, twists that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Gabriel's mother knew even though he was a twin with Braun his eyes bring orange made him something different like his mother they could shapeshift & run together in secret, Braun hated him because he was jealous & different his other brother's Finn & Geory hated him also, his mother tried to help smooth things over, but when Braun & his brothers beat him & tied him to a tree to watch them kill Linnea & his child was shocking to say the least, his mom found him next day to release him.
Braun, Geory & Finn we're banned from town because of what they did Gabriel went to the Seas traveled for years then returned same time his brothers were visiting their parents in secret, that's when Gabriel heard the screams his mother & father were slaughtered do were many other but one turned Gabriel then Braun, Finn & Geory into Vampire's which he became leader of then Gabriel created The Society for Vampire's with rules & grow their group, meaning the brothers would have to work with Gabriel.
I definitely recommend to get this unique interesting paranormal story do much happens a, Ong the way over the centuries meeting new people, Gabriel wanting take down the corruption in the Council he found out about, he would take them down no matter what happened to him, his life was not an easy one so sad a times you couldn't believe how he survived what he did, its a must read you'll enjoy you so won't be disappointed, brilliantly written.
EXCELLENT DARK TWISTED PARANORMAL ADVENTURE 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

This is not a happy story. There is no HEA. There is however the quest for love and an EPIC story spanning over six centuries of Gabriel's life.

A shape shifting vampire, Gabriel has dealt with countless losses from a very young age. The people he meets in his lifetime play a crucial role in how he views the world and his place in it. I love morally gray characters and there is an endless supply of them here. Many of his decisions are absolutely detestable, and yet my heart shattered for him.

While it's a standalone, reading the first three books in the series gives extra insight into this captivating character. The historical details, down to the languages of the time periods, added so much depth to the story.
It was truly a journey.

It was an extremely intense heart wrenching read, so check your trigger warnings. But the characters spoke so strongly to me; I was absolutely WRECKED by it. But THIS is how you redeem a villain.

Thank you R.N.A. for allowing me to BETA read this amazing work 🖤

The story starts in Stockholm, Sweden in the year 1389, when Gabrial's twin Braun, pushed Gab, into the mud because his eyes were different from his twin, orange colored. Gab would then hear words on his different colored eyes, freak, weird, odd. Gabrial had to fight against his brothers jealousies. His brother Braun's jealousy would cost him his fist love along with his child. One day the family was attacked his mother and father were killed. Gab and his brothers survived if you can call it that, they were turned into a vampires. During the centuries that Gabrial live, he encountered much grief at the hands of his twin. This story of Gab starts basically at the end and goes back through the years to show the reader what happened to justify his actions. How he met the twins Lucian and his sister and how she was able to know the future. Based on that and the actions his brothers, he struggled to live until the appointed time that had been seen. The decisions he had to make were hard, but if the future was to come true, were they worth it?

Deep and extensive exploration of one unfortunate, scarred soul that slowly turned into the villain they made him to be. Gabriel's bad luck already started with his arrival to this world- being the older twin but having strange orange eyes. For those eyes his younger brothers hated him to extreme cruelty, and drove Gabriel to pain and grief, losing love over and over again. Turning into vampires brought them only temporary relief, as the never ending feud between the twins caused much pain over the centuries..
Tragic and emotional journey of one broken man and those who bonded with him. The story is built in great detail, explores the motives and development of a personality or relationship, and dives deep into human soul. I enjoyed getting to know not only Gabriel more, but also all of those who accompanied him on his journey. There was also happiness, love, and some spice, yet the dominant emotion throughout the whole story is pain, loss, and sadness... and Gabriel's rage. There are also many triggers present, so best to read the warnings first.

***This book is a standalone. However, if You have read the Triad Bite series, this could technically be considered the last installment. Now, onto the review. ***

I have been a fan of RNA's work for some time now, and this is by far my favorite book she has ever written. The depth of Gabriel's character is astonishing. RNA really took the time to learn history, how things would be said, how it would look, and the custom variations from then until now. This book highlighted the range in which RNA can tell a story.
I loved the relationship dynamics with all of the characters. It truly encapsulates how many people a person's existence can impact, and the grief felt when they are no longer here. Lastly, I just loved that this character got to tell his story; I loved the rawness and realness of Gabriel outside of the fantasy. He was just a man who wanted a family to love and love him in return, and isn't that what we all want?

Now, go read this beautiful book!
