That's right - no stars. I cannot recommend this book to anyone who likes good writing or literature. Thankfully, this was a free book. We are led to believe that the far flung Van Buskirk family has had contact with EVERY historical figure of the time. All women are of lose morals. All men are heroic and/or brave. My biggest complaint is that the activity and characters jump rapidly from location and time without really getting fleshed out. My recommendation to the author is to choose a historical character and teach us about him/her...or go more in depth with the family.

I love historical fiction but this one has me re-thinking my decision not to attempt writing.
