A supersized collection of witch and supernatural mysteries, adventures, and cozies.

A fabulous way to meet or meet again with old and new favorite authors and fun characters and series.

What a great box set!

As always with any collection, there are a few that stood out. I’ll do a short opinion per book:

Caffeine Before Curses - Christine Pope - 4 stars - What I liked best about this one, were the characters. A great cast! Except for Max, I guess I didn’t really feel the connection between Skye and him. But it’s a promising book all the same, and I will be reading the next one!

High Noon - S.E. Biglow - 4 stars - I had a little trouble getting into this one. Maybe it was because I felt like I was missing something, didn’t understand everything. But after a while, I started to really enjoy it. An interesting case and quirky characters made this a good read!

Mystic Pieces - Ada Bell - 5+ stars - The characters are great, the storyline was interesting from start to finish, the mystery was twisty and not too obvious, and the paranormal element made this a magical read! This fun read is well worth your time!

Of Potions and Portents - Nyx Halliwell - 5+ stars - Very imaginative, very enjoyable. An entertaining read that had good pacing and a uniqueness that I could really appreciate! The mystery element was clever and twisty, just the way I like it!

Pawsitively Poisonous - Melissa Erin Jackson - 4 stars - Some unique elements to this story, that made it stand out. But it was a tad slow in places, wasn’t always able to keep my interest. But it was fun, and well written! And I really took to Amber!

Dead Even - Patti Larsen - 5 stars - Another story that brought an original element, and I loved that! The story really took me there, and I kept wanting to go back to the book, whenever I was forced to stop. There was so much to like about this cozy!

The Guest Is a Goner - Carly Winter - 5+ stars - The twists and turns in this one had me on the edge of my seat! So much humor in this one, and I smiled my way through! An excellent cozy that I would recommend to any paracozy lover! Go read this one!

The Psychic Cat Mysteries - SM Reine - 5 stars - Looking back on this one, it’s the sense of humor that stands out for me. Such a fun read! Short, but all 5 volumes are included. These fast reads are cute and fast-paced, and very interesting!

Adventures of a Vegan Vamp - Cate Lawley - 5+ stars - I had had my eye on this one for a while, that title intrigued me so! And what a great read! I liked the originality, appreciated the humor. The lighthearted tone had me turning those pages like mad!

Hazard in Hawaii - Heather Silvio - 5 stars - Another fun read! The puzzle of the mystery was very intriguing, I love puzzling along! This is one author I will for sure read more of! I really felt immersed in the story, always a good sign! Great book!

I grabbed a copy when this book was free and received a free copy from author Ada Bell. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I'll update this review when I finish more books.

Caffeine Before Curses - Christine Pope

High Noon - S.E. Biglow

Mystic Pieces - Ada Bell
This was a solid start to this paranormal cozy mystery series. I had fun reading this one. I liked the inclusion of Aly's psychic powers and how she tried to use them to help solve the mystery. It made sense how she got involved and how she went about figuring out who had done it. And I liked how natural and realistic instead forced some of the coincidences felt. The mystery kept me guessing, although the murderer wasn't too big of a surprise there were some nice twists along the way and I was never quite sure who the murderer was. I liked Aly as a main character and reading about her and her powers. I liked the side characters and how each had their own personality that made it easy to remember. All in all I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book in the series!

Of Potions and Portents - Nyx Halliwell

Pawsitively Poisonous - Melissa Erin Jackson
This was a great start to this series. The mystery is a good one, it made sense how Amber gets involved and I liked seeing her try to figure out who had murdered her friend. I liked how Amber used her magic a lot while trying to figure out who had done it and it was integral for solving the case. There was plenty of progress on the case throughout the story and the ending was satisfying. I liked reading about Amber, her shop and the small town of Edgehill. I look forward to returning to Edgehill for book 2!

Dead Even - Patti Larsen

The Guest Is a Goner - Carly Winter

The Psychic Cat Mysteries - S.M. Reine

Adventures of a Vegan Vamp - Cate Lawley
I DNF'd this one as it wasn't grabbing my attention.

Hazard in Hawaii - Heather Silvio

Small town cozey mystery with a shot of murder and a slight ping of paranormal, it's so well written and the array of characters that will draw you in from the very beginning with some of their charm innocence and friendliness. Enticing you further with the allure of intrigue and hint of a slow burn romance while the plot carries you throughout with its drama and engaging antics. If you enjoy this type of cozey like I do then you won't be able to put it down once you start reading it. I enjoyed it emencely. Acquire " Hexes and & Hijinks " so you yourself can enjoy it as much as I have. 🙂 Kat.

Welcome to this collection of urban fantasy, fantasy and paranormal romance stories. By my count, we have ten stories by ten different authors recounted within these pages. The stories are all well written and easy to read, but with different characters, situations and story telling styles. As a result, there is a lot of variety here and plenty of opportunity for each reader to find his or her favorite story. What I really like is the chance to explore different authors and discover new ones that I want to follow. In that regard, this collection was definitely a success.

Highly recommended.

Ten Styles, All Enjoyable

Each story in this collection has a different tone, although they have enough similarities to all fall into the "cozy" category. Mysteries to solve, often murderers to catch. No graphic violence or detailed blood and guts, though. That doesn't mean people don't have to be very, very "firm" sometimes (sharp living swords anyone?).
These are the type of books I like. Especially with a supernatural or paranormal slant. It was fun to meet so many different authors. This is five stars from a very satisfied reader.

A great mix of Cozy mysteries, to enjoy. One of the stories contained within is Pawsitively Poisonous by Melissa Erin Jackson - which is about Amber (a witch) who runs a store called the Quirky Whisker, but she wants to know who in their town of Edgehill, murdered her friend. I loved all these mysteries, and the interesting characters they contained.

I like this set a lot. It was organized well. I liked how there was a synopsis of each story at the very beginning which made it easier to skip around. But I liked each of the stories and will look for more from several of these authors.

There were some stories that were really good, some not so good, and some I just skipped altogether because they didn't sound interesting to me. Can't really give a review for a book of books, but I have left a review for each of the books I did read on their page.

“Nothing like a mystery to keep things interesting.”.

This anthology of 10 fairly good paranormal cozies contains mystery and ( sometimes gallows) humor as these ten authors each put their own spin on the paranormal. From the sublime to the ridiculous we see familiars to after life coaches, from family dynamics to ghostly advice. A good time is had by all. Recommended 4/5

Paranormal diversity.

This contains the first books of ten different series. Only one that I have previously read! All with decent plots and characters. A couple were outstanding. None had sexy times and only a few even had dating. I recommend this book if you are looking for something new.

boring boring boring

Yes I found this set of books to be so very boring, shallow, very simplistic, not funny, not entertaining, did not grab and hold attention, I could go on, but you get the drift. Even as a freebie it was a total waste of my time.
