The characters Atlas and Lily are spectacular melodious and mind blowing. The plot is soo sureal, relatable and connected.
The most epic fiction I have ever dive into...
I started it as the love story bt by the end I realise the fracas of the society...how the writer turn the story into firm choices of the women to break the societal pattern so that her upcoming generation won't face it ...it's epic .
My heart almost stopped twice or thrice or every time I discover the clandestine axiom ...

no because this book is so poorly written like what? I only just made an account so I could hate on coho. I'd rather throw myself off a bridge than read any of her books. she's honestly so messed up for writing this kinda stuff and i literally hate when people say they read coho. it's an immediate red flag if u read these kinda 'booktok' books including haunting adeline and whatnot. I literally cannot express my hatred to coho by using words, she is just THAT bad like it's crazy-

it was not a good book. The reviews were so amazing, and I have to completely disagree with that!
it put me in a reading slump for 6months and I wasn't even able to finish it fully I almost finished but it was so bad I truly couldn't if you want a "romance" book go look somewhere else as this book was horrible and she is too

This is the second Colleen Hoover book I’ve ever read. After the first book i read by her I swore I would never ever read another one of her books. However, this was the our June book club selection so I felt obligated to read it.
I thought this book presented a realistic depiction of domestic abuse/violence and the emotional dilemma that goes along with it.
In 2023, 135 women died due to domestic violence which is a 17.4% increase from 2022. These are deaths not injuries. Imagine the number of injuries that were reported and those that were not. Staggering!

Feel like COHO normalised sa… it may be just me but I’m 100% sure I just wasted my money. It was easy to read but a bit hart do understand. The ending of the book was pretty good. But would I read this book again? No, definitely not. I’m sure I could have bought a better book for this money because books in my country are really pricey + if it’s an English book it’s even more expensive. Never planning to read a COHO book again.

This book gave me a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by abused women and the reasons they might stay in harmful relationships. It's made me much less quick to judge.

I thought the author did an excellent job interweaving and analyzing the character’s past and present experiences. I also appreciated how the book illustrates our tendency to judge others while simultaneously excusing our own choices.

I found the epilogue enlightening as it revealed the premise behind the book. I also enjoyed the childhood backstory of Lily and Atlas far more than the main story with Ryle. He just was not a likeable character despite what had happened to him in childhood. If you wade through the bits of fluff, there is an interesting storyline.
