Chelsy Holmes and Nathan Sharles have been next door neighbours since they were toddlers. He is best friends with her brother Max Holmes so she is stuck with seeing him everyday despite how much she hates his guts! But what happens when Chelsy starts growing up and they are past sand-building and swing-rides stage? What happens when feelings arise and Chelsy is coming of age?
I genuinely don’t know what I expected going into this—maybe something decent, or at the very least, entertaining. But what I got was probably one of the worst things I’ve ever read.
The writing was painfully weak, and the characters? Completely unlikeable. I found myself cringing at every page. What is it with the constant need to romanticise emotionally unavailable man whores? It’s not deep or mysterious it’s just pathetic.
And the ending? An absolute joke. The story just cuts off at a random point—nowhere near the actual ending—and there’s zero warning that what you're reading is only a fraction of the full book. Turns out, to finish the story, you have to download a whole different app and pay for it. No heads-up, no disclaimer, nothing!
After painfully pushing through all of that, finding out it was basically a pay-to-finish scam left a bad taste. I know it’s a Wattpad story, but even for Wattpad, this was a mess. Definitely not worth your time.
Review: I loved this book from start to end. It's your typical boy/girl next door, secret teenage love obsession. Chelsy has grown up and wants to get some experience with boys, who better then someone that's got plenty of experience and you've known them all your life... your brother's forbidden bad boy best friend. It's a dangerous game they're playing when feelings start getting involved, how long can they keep their secret before it all comes crashing down around them.
I absolutely devoured this book, luckily I had a Galatea subscription or it would have taken me a long time to finish/wait for chapters. This book need to be published asap!!
