This is a treasure trove of James Roberts' notes from how he developed the More Than Meets The Eye comics. If you loved the comic, then I'm sure you'll appreciate this glimpse behind the scenes. If you just appreciate the art of crafting comic book stories, then this book will show interest based on how these diverse notes come together into a story.

An absolutely brilliant insight into the creative process of one of my favourite comic creators of the 21st century. A very humble look back over notes and ideas that may or may not have come to pass. It's fascinating to see ideas evolve, what gets left on the cutting room floor, and seeing some of my favourite MTMTE moments deconstructed from a different angle.

I've been working my way through this book with the graphic novel editions loaded on a tablet, and it's fascinating to compare and contrast James Robert's initial notes to his final product to his 2022 reflections.

His impact on the Transformers franchise can't be overstated. He brought so much humanity and love to big warmongering robots and created so many new fans. So, seeing the humble origins of this revolutionary comic run fills this fanboy with such delusions of writing grandeur that I want to grab a notepad and get going myself.

Thank you, James, for taking the initiative and creating such a love letter to MTMTE.

Delightful curated limited edition intimacy with jokes. Gives a real insight into Roberts' writing strategy and the ideas swirling and forming. At the risk of demystifying it there's (admitted) dreadful stuff in here and the inclusion of those winds up being enriching. I rate this!
