From the bestselling author of THE PUPPY PLACE.

Mia and Michael Battelli have a special way with cats and kittens. Their family fosters kitties in need, giving them love and proper care until they find the perfect home.

When Mia discovers that Duchess's owner is moving, she offers to help. But Duchess is used to being pampered and adored. It won't be easy finding someone who'll want to spoil the pretty white Persian. Can Mia find her a new home that's fit for a queen?

"I'm so excited about Kitty Corner. Some people might assume I’m not a cat person because I write about puppies in my series THE PUPPY PLACE, but that's far from the truth. I love cats! In fact, my first pet ever was a gorgeous tortoiseshell named Jenny. Like dogs, every cat has a personality of his or her own. They're all individuals, and they're all loveable in their own special ways."

Mia and Michael are in elementary school. They'd like to have a pet but they live in an apartment and their parents don't it's the right time or place to have one.

A friend of Mia's tells her that his neighbours are moving to Iceland and rather put their cat, Duchess, in quarantine, they want to find her a new home. Mia's family has fostered kittens and offer to foster Duchess and find her a new home. Because Duchess is a Persian cat, she needs more work in keeping her fur brushed. Plus she is used to being treated like a duchess in that she only eats out of a crystal bowl and likes having special meals prepared for her. It could be tricky but Mia is determine to find her the perfect home.

Though this book is a quick read and directed at elementary-aged children, I found it entertaining. There was a cat quiz at the end along some info about cats. It is written in third person perspective and first person from Duchess' point of view. It is the third book in the Kitty Corner series.

A read aloud with my children. My daughter enjoys this series, though she is a bit old for it. She just loves reading stories about animals. Again, it’s pretty predictable and clearly follows a pattern. However, it was sweet and of course has a happy ending.

A great story for young readers about an older cat that needs a new home because her owner is moving to a place where she can't take this very special kitty. Duchess is used to being the focus of her owner's affection which causes her foster mother to search carefully for just the right home for her royal highness! A thoroughly enjoyable read.

Duchess was a lost kitten that Mia and Michel fostered. She was pure white. She was also very cute and pretty.

The lady they found was the perfect match for a kitten like Duchess. They found that out because they kitten loved the lady and the lady loved Duchess.
