It's Springtime in Jeanne-Marie's village, and Jeanne-Marie has two pets - a white duck named Madelon and the white sheep Patapon... But soon they are only two, for Madelon swims away down the river. Jeanne-Marie and Patapon look for her - their search follows the repetititve pattern little children love. And in the end Madelon introduces them to a new friend!
The temptation to cut this book up … to hang the pictures on the wall to decorate with is very real! The illustrations are so darling and would cute-ify my baby’s room so much. But don’t worry; I love books too much to destroy one. Ha, ha!
This is simple but charming! A little girl looses her duck and has a short but sweet adventure trying to find it. Along the way we meet friendly people and see quaint French village scenes.
These books aren’t cheap so hopefully you can find them discounted somewhere.
