I really did enjoy this book and am thankful for the opportunity to meet Abigail. I really look forward to other books in this series.
Christopher M. Salas writes some of the best action scenes I've read. I feel like I'm there in the action, and also appreciate the fact that the fights have a solid flow and feel 'real' to me. Very well done.
Where I thought this was lacking was in getting to know Abigail on a deeper level. The author touches on her beautifully, but I feel like there is still so much unsaid, so much left to discover, that I was disappointed to not get to travel deeper with her. I hope she is fleshed out more in the books to come.
This is a novella that I feel should have been a novel. I would have happily followed along with her for 300 pages not just a handful over 100 pages. Still, I am happy to recommend this book to people who don't mind their stories a bit more graphic and gory at times. I'll be looking for the next book for sure!
Terrific read! Good action, graphic and detailed but not gratuitous. Fluently description without being cliched or trite.
I'm intrigued by this character and can't wait to learn more about her.
My only wish was that it be a bit a longer. I have a feeling that when the Abigail novellas are completely assembled, they'll make an engaging and provocative collection!
