This book is mostly on Lin's theories on comparative advantage and development strategies. New Structural Economics. A Framework for Rethinking Development and Policy offers a much more systematic and more developed (since more recent) presentation of this. Lin's views on the economics profession, the role of Chinese economists and how to make a difference in economics (or how to become a famous economist) are a short, but more interesting part of this book.
