Travels with Charlie: Way Out West

Rate this book
Pack it up and take a trip out west on every page! It's part travelogue, part I Spy, part Where's...Charlie! Each spread covers a state in the region and lists a mix of interesting, historical, well-known, and offbeat tourist spots. The illustrations show the locations mentioned and include a dog named Charlie "hidden" within each pictorial.

4.5 stars I love this book for several reason. 1st it is about travel. Oddly enough I have been to most of these places. 2nd it is a look and find book, and kids love that.

This Search-and-Find book follows Charlie the dog as he travels Way Out West. The book covers travels to 13 western states with questions and searches in rhyme. On the opposite page the state outline is covered with bright pictures that should bring up some questions that might lead into internet searches for real life photos of the places illustrated. I definitely want to go back to Colorado to see the Great Sand Dunes National Monument and to take the long drive to see Dinosaur National Park which didn't fit into our travels on our last trip. Also, I want to return to Washington State. We saw many things there, but no one mentioned that I could meet Bigfoot. Definitely need to look into that more closely.
