It's a conclusion

Parallel world magic fantasy
In book 5, all the characters are scattered, pursuing their own lives, including the Outlanders Robyn, Jen, and Chris. In this, they all focus their efforts to deal with the drug Zero and the threats to their new way of life. Fighting drug cartels is not the usual fodder for fantasy adventure, but it was a good effort, and there are casualties.

There was plenty of room for the series to continue, but for whatever reason, that never happened.

Not as strong a story as it could have been, and long term, I have serious questions about how adding rail and highways will affect the Caravaners and their nomadic lifestyle, but the could become rail workers I suppose.

Again, Open Road Integrated Media has done a sloppy job of digitizing this series, not even bothering to 1, run spellchecker, 2, omitting the map included with the original books 30+ years ago, and replacing the original covers with simple, bland ones. There are many errors in the last volume as well, errors that were NOT in the original, leaving readers with a false impression of the author's attention to detail. Added to that, these ebooks are higher cost than other ebooks. I like having these book titles in my personal library, but I also screwed these cheap knockoff versions.

Finished?

Tied up the loose ends or should I say threads? But felt disappointed to say goodbye.Although anything in the future for the characters would be more as individuals. With one badie unaccounted for story left hanging a little.
