This series of books are a nice read or could be used as a child's source book for a book report. Pages have nice picture illustrations, along with simple boxes on each page each box tells about facts, and or the 'story' about the animal. So if you are reading it to smaller children just read the same box in the pages and the story follows itself and can teach about the animal. For older children the other boxes are filled with actual facts about breeding, living, habitat, etc. Nice series.

Absolutely jam-packed with text features. Perfect, perfect book for introducing text features or digging deeper.

Who knew there was so much to learn about sheep?

NOT ENTIRELY SURE I agree with the ending of this book, in the note to parents and teachers. "All animals live and die, and farm animals are bred for this purpose. Cooking together is a great opportunity to have fun and learn."
