Pledge to Destiny is the story of the rise of Charles De Gaulle and the Free French during World War II. De Gaulle was a controversial figure who was often at odds with the French government, but he was able to lead the Free French to victory in many battles against the Germans.

This book is a biography of De Gaulle and covers his life from his childhood to his time as leader of France.
