"Plonk art," or "plop art" is a term that is used to describe sculptures which are displayed in very visible outdoor locations, locations which are heavily trafficked where the sculptures will be seen by a lot of people every day.
In this book, the authors describe 46 different sculptures which have been displayed in various locations throughout the U.S.
The color photos of the sculptures which are included in this book are all quite impressive.
You don't need to possess any advanced knowledge of 20th century and early 21st century art, modern art movements, art history or sculpture to enjoy this book. If you have any interest in urban streetcapes, urban beautification, public art or if you enjoy viewing sculptures which are on display in public areas in cities throughout the U.S., you'll enjoy this book.
