Nelle Peterson has finally found Mr. Right. He’s handsome, smart, and successful. In fact, she’s amazed he’s still available. But shortly after her new relationship begins, things start to go wrong. Really wrong. Nelle doesn’t really believe in fate, or fairy tales, or magic, but when her boyfriend lets it slip that his ex used to be really into witchcraft, it all starts to fall into place. Will Nelle be able to get past her logical ways and protect herself? Can she keep her boyfriend from falling back under the ex’s spell? And now that it's Nelle's turn to learn the ways of witchcraft, what will happen when she tries to conjure up a little revenge of her own? Book Approx. 66,500 words (approx. 260 pages).
Rachel Astor is a twin (yes, probably the evil one), a stepmother (not as wicked as you'd think), and a USA Today Bestselling Author who spends a suspiciously large portion of her days correcting the word "the".
She's had a lot of jobs (bookseller, realtor, 834 assorted admin roles), but none as, ahem, interesting, as when she waitressed at a small-town bar named after a dog. 🐶
When she’s not crafting romantic comedies that blend heat, humor, and heart, Rachel splits her time between the city, the lake, and as many made-up worlds as possible.
This is a modern witch story about revenge. Nelle Peterson thought she found Mr Right. But when she learned that his Ex was really a witch, Nelle sought protection and learned the witch's way in the process. So, will Mr Right turn out to be Mr Wrong? Or now that Nelle has learned a few spells, will she use them to get revenge on her own? I enjoyed the book very much. It was a nice lite and spellbinding witch's tale.
Very light reading. Good for the train when it doesn't matter if you get distracted. Enjoyable enough to finish, but I felt the charters were a little weak and plot just died out half way through. But again, nice easy reading.
Initially i thought I would give this book 4 stars. Started out as fun chicklit but then turned into an episode of Charmed (which is still a good thing). But felt like some things could have been better explained.
This was a cute book. I really got into it. There were a few things here and there that I felt were a bit unrealistic, even for a book about witches, but it was still pretty good. I had moments where I laughed out loud and times I shook my head. Good characters, good storyline, good book.
I really enjoyed the book of discovery and magic mixed with common sense. There was just the right amount of suspense, to keep it interesting. Funny and delightful reading. This is the perfect lounge and read book. Kudos to the author
This was a great light coming of age witch novel. My only negative comment was that I felt the ending was rushed. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable read.
I felt this book was written in a very short, simple manner, and couldn't really connect with anyone in the story. Not the best supernatural chick lit.
