Short romances are hard for me to read because I find it hard to root for the couple in just a few scenes. Add in erotica and I often find myself unable to concentrate on the passions of two people I just don't know.

V-Day is 37 pages long. And Anne Holly really put those 37 pages to good use. We're quickly and succinctly introduced to Daniel, a college student and musical prodigy. Daniel is classic geek.

Next door to his family lives Mrs. Robinson. Err, Bronwyn, I mean. She's about ten years older than Daniel, and the unwitting focus of Daniel's unfulfilled longings.

Annnd, I can't say much more. What I can share is that I found this story entertaining, I see-sawed between wanting to pinch Daniel's cheek and asking him out on a date. In a very short amount of space, a believable spark was ignited, and an enjoyable romance was born.
