I didn't really enjoy this book. There was lots and lots of description and not really much of the author doing or interacting.

I also found his observations about different nationalities and countries very stereotyped and the author (who may in fact be a warm and witty man that dresses up as Santa for his grandchildren) comes across as a bit of an old curmudgeon.

I bought this book because it was travel related. Good thing I didn't pay too much for this or else I would have regretted buying it big time. This book, although about travel and such is very much about travel complaints of the author. The minute I read the first few chapters, I had to put it down. It annoyed me. It wasn't inspiring at all.
