This is yet another all-ages picture book I picked up from the discard rack of my hometown library. When I was a kid I loved to read about sharks, and I can say with certainty that I would have been thrilled by Sharks!: Strange and Wonderful if it had been in my childhood collection. This book is filled with fascinating information and absolutely gorgeous artwork. If you're a fan of sharks, I'd highly recommend picking it up. There is apparently an entire series of animal books by the same author, including one about dinosaurs! I was so impressed by Sharks!: Strange and Wonderful that I'd like to read some of these other books as well.

Interesting facts that I did not know, it’s crazy to think how many different types of sharks there are in our ocean and the size of them is crazy! I still would not like to come close to them at any time

Why does every shark book not have a megalodon? But this book did have a megalodon shark.

A great book for addressing that not all sharks are alike. But goes into some evolution topics, which wasn't age appropriate for my child. I skipped those sections when reading it aloud.
