Being a Country singer isn't as great as everyone thinks it is. Sure, I have money, fame, and usually get anything I want. Just not the happiness I truly desire.
After my manager and label threw a new condition my way. I decided to walk away. I need time to clear my head. Music has always been my way to do that. Not anymore. I find no joy in it.
When I left, I didn't expect to meet a beauty who brought my love for music back. That’s just what she and her family at Gunther Ranch did. They showed me the true meaning of family and love that I’d been missing my whole life.
But nothing is ever that easy. Not for the country industry’s number one superstar. After taking the time I needed away to get my mind right, I expect my manager will negotiate with me.
I was wrong.
My manager’s demands threaten the happiness I finally found with my girl and our family. I don’t know if our love will survive it.
I think this is the first proper book by Anneke I've read and I loved it! I get that the sweet with heat isn't usually her style, but she did it pretty darn well. I was invested in the characters, the story, their HEA and as for Gray? I want to read his. No, it's not a want. It's a NEED. And this being more cowboy, there needs to be a few more noses broken than there are. Just sayin' ;)
Anneke Boshoff nail this I started reading and was fascinated from the beginning to the end. Everything takes place in a small town in Texas. The Gunther family consists of Mike, Grayson, Megan and Evelyn. they live and work on their ranch. Megan a natural beauty and Grayson who always stands up for her like a big brother. Together they come to the conclusion that they need more workers. And suddenly Jason comes into play, an eye-catcher for every woman, but what is his secret and what are the electric vibes that he suddenly feels? When you read this book you will find love, romance, humour, action and a lot of loyalty. Highly recommended !!! But I also say something to Melony Ann your lyrics for the songs in Anneke's book are great ;) so much to the theme of loyalty that's just great. Great job !!!
Fill Them Boots Book 1 of the Gunther Ranch Series by Anneke Boshoff is a small town romance about a country singer and a country girl.
This book had me hooked from the start to end, it is filled with romance and a bit of suspense. The characters are written so well, Jason - the country singer is mentally and emotionally exhausted from the constant pressure and demands from his manager and accusations from his mother. Megan - a country girl who is independent and proud stuck in a toxic relationship. Then there is Greyson who had me laughing hard, Evelyn's sassy personality and Mike's protectiveness.
This book was a total package and I highly recommend reading it. I am eagerly waiting for the next book in the Gunther ranch series.

Fill Them Boots was a wild ride with Megan and Jason. This book had the right amount of romance sprinkled with suspense. I felt like the romance was paced well and the characters developed well. I liked the small town feel to it. Overall this book was solid and really kept my interest all the way through.
I thought Megan and Jason’s relationship weathered hardship well. The side characters of Mike and Greyson made for a good family dynamic. The villains of our story were written well and we were hating them as much as they did by the end.
This book was provided to me via ARC in exchange for an honest review.
There are not enough stars for this book !!!! This was by far the best book I have ever read !!!! I finished it in less than a day as I started it before work and picked it back up after dinner and finished it at bedtime.
True love conquers all !! Jason and Megan made all their dreams come true together !!!
I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and more by Anneke Boshoff.
Fill Them Boots book 1 of The Gunther Ranch Series. This book has steamy moments and suspense. Jason comes into a small town to figure things out. Megan run the family ranch with her cousin Grayson. Jason meets Grayson at a bar, they start talking. Grayson hires Jason to be a ranch hand. When Jason and Megan see each other there is chemistry between them. Can’t wait for Want It Again book 2 in The Gunther Ranch Series
Jason and Megs have an intense connection when they meet and the chemistry between them is sizzling. Meddling from friends who pretend to have their best interests at heart brings bumps in the road to their plans of making their own country love story. Can they overcome all the barriers they are suddenly faced with? Or will they fall at the first hurdle?
I absolutely loved this book. Jason and Megan are adorable! I loved the songs written in the book. They were beautiful. I came to loath 3 characters in this book. When you read it, you'll know who. Jason's story of his dad broke my heart. I am so glad he has gotten some healing. I can't wait to read Grayson's story. He was my favorite sidekick in the book. I hope Evelyn gets her own book too.
In true Anneke Boshoff fashion, this book is a page turner. Holy Mother of Pearl. I have to say, this is my favorite book by this author to date.
This book follows Jas and Megs on their epic journey to write and live their own country love song. But their road is not easy. Roadblock after roadblock is thrown at them. The record label is trying to ruin Jason. His manager is not my favorite person.
But it’s not just him. Megs has her own issues in the form of a dude and friend who seem to think they own her or something. And they bring their own brand of drama.
I’ll be honest. I laughed, cried, cursed the author, and had a mild heart attack, I’m sure, at one point. I love that a book can bring so many emotions. I’m so excited for the next one.
This book is so good! I love country music and romance so this book was perfect for me.
I loved how no matter how many times Bronwyn tried to come between them Jason stayed committed to Megan. The added suspense element towards the end was also great.
My favorite quote from the book was this one; "I have always wanted to find the type of love that consumes you. The type of that love makes you want to be with the person no matter what."
I can't wait for the next book in the series!
(I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
This one has you hooked from the start up until the end. You are not going to want to put it a way. It takes a place in your heart. The story line and all the characters are amazing. You love the good ones and hate the bad ones.
The amazing sweetness, the steemy moments and the suspence is perfect all the way. The journey the characters do is one you would love to do yourself.
I can't wait to read the next in the serie. Really easy to read and well written!!
I like stories about cowboys. And I like country music. And this was a really good story. I am going to go read book two. Anneke you are an awesome author.
