Megan Starke has never been special to anyone. With an unrewarding job and a failed marriage, no one would confuse her life with a fairy tale. So when she is kidnapped and taken to a magical world to be the grand prize in a fierce and bloody tournament, she isn't sure if she is in a dream or a nightmare.

Beckett Finn was supposed to be Prince Charming. He and his brother, Cian, were to inherit the throne of the Seelie Fae and rule over a fantasy kingdom. But the thrust of a traitor's blade stole that future. Now the brothers are fading, cursed by their royal blood unless they find a mate who can restore them.

When Beck sees Meg, her body calls to him and he knows she is the key to their salvation. Bound by passion and fate, it's time for Meg to find her happily ever after.

A lifetime devotee to the written word, Sophie published her first novel this year. Prior to becoming a novelist, she worked in theater and comic books. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband and three precocious children, who wonder when mom is going to write a book they will be allowed to read. Her answer: probably never. Sophie believes in happy endings for everyone, no matter how extreme the story. Her stories may feature some of the fringe elements of sexuality, but at heart they are always about love.

Wow, you really can't judge a book by it's cover... (Side Note to Author; please change the cover of this book and the other two that follows it... It doesn't do the book justice at all... It's like putting a generic label on a top shelf bottle of quality cognac..)

This is the first time I've read anything by this author and I must say I'm quite please with her writing skills and her storytelling... I thought this was going to be a little Rinky-dink read but boy was I wrong...*SMH* I'm so glad I found this little treasure by stalking one of my GR's friends book shelves which I took great pleasure in doing.. Lol...

I really like our heroes (twins BTW) Beck, and Cian with their alpha male attitudes and mannerisms.

But it's our heroine that's saves the day... I love how the author give us a little twist in this story and made her the true hero... Our girl Meg is badass that didn't mind speaking her mind and kicking a lil ass while doing it... And don't get me started on the hot as hell sex scenes Mrs Thang had it going on with her set of twins mates... Whew!!!!

This author has truly won favor with me... I will be reading the remaining 2 other books of this series because I just really enjoy this author's storyline and humor and passion she puts behind it..

Job well done Sophie Oak you earn yourself a new fan...

I have had this book on my kindle for months, if not years tbh. After having read previous books by this author, and having enjoyed them, especially the Bliss series, I am not sure why I held off reading this.

But, read it eventually I did. And I wish I had read it sooner. It was just so damn enjoyable.

It was a unique tale in the paranormal romance genre, and I loved the world (or worlds) Sophie Oak has created. Her take on vampires was refreshing and quirky tbh.

I loved the 3 main characters, yes there are some misunderstanding, especially between Meg and Beck but, it worked in a way, so that we had time with Beck and Meg, then Meg and Cian. I think I loved Cian most of all. How he was introduced and he is so lost, to his more humorous lighthearted side once he finally is back to himself.

And the side characters were great. I adored Dante.

All in it is a great start to what I hope is going to be a great series. It was funny, original and just a plain exciting romp of a read.

Grade: C

Light, easy read with the right amount of chemistry between symbiotic Seelie twins and their human mate. The sexy times are not gratuitous and had the perfect amount of steam. This m/f/m story contains light BDSM.

This story was pretty weak compared to the Bliss series book I've read. Despite the average rating for Bound, I'm interested in the next book, Beast, which is about the twin's vampire cousin Dante. If you're looking for a story with a strong plot and m/f/m then I'd recommend Inked Magic by Jory Strong.

I have adored everything that Sophie Oak has written. Love her smokin hot cowboys, and the way they play. Now we have smokin manly...fairies? I was a little unsure where Oak was going with this. But I love PNR and I love her writing voice so I took the leap. This is the first fae book that I have fallen head over heals for.

Our main men in this tale are symbiotic twins. Meaning they share a soul. Two halves of a whole and they need to "bond" with their sexual partner that they will share in order to keep from going bonkers. One of the brothers was already partially looney bin bound, and the hilarity was awesome. Sounds wierd when I say it here, but trust me when I say that Sophie Oak had me wanting to get my ass kidnapped and moved in with some fae myself.

Did I say kidnapped? Yup. That's how she meets her men. She is kidnapped and brought to a nice little market place where vampires and fae compete for her in a gladiator style tournament. Of course he has to see her chained up and give her a killer orgasm in order to know if he can bond with her. The poor thing had to put up with that. tee hee. Oh and did I mention they are into BDSM? No toys in the fairy realm, but lots of Dominance and submission. Yes, Sir!

Through their bond, a mind meld of sorts, our trio can share their orgasms. This little fact leads to some of the hottest sex I have ever read in erotica. And I have read a little bit.

This book is obviously a first in a series. There was some serious world building, and while we definitely got a HEA for our trio, there was sure as shit more story. Cause I know Sophie Oak is not cruel enough to leave us hanging like that.

We had a villan, of course. Because even I would get bored if the couple just had hot mind-meld fae sex. Maybe. But what I like about the villan in this book is that we get to just plain hate. No tortured soul, no feeling sorry, we just get to hate the a-hole.

Loved this book. Loved the world. Love the author. Sophie Oak, keep writing. You have a customer for life. 5 stars.

***warning, I got into some detail in this review so if you don't like spoilers you may not want to read this review***

This was a great start to a great series. I've read the series before but decide to reread and do a full review this time. Meg, Cian and Beck are all great and I loved seeing them get together. I really like all of Sophie Oak's work, she's an autobuy for me.

Megan is from Fort Worth, TX. She has 2 degrees but works in as a store manager. She is recently divorced from a man that made her feel like crap emotionally and never gave her what she needed sexually. She actually had begun to suspect she needs a dominant man in the bedroom but her ex had never been willing to even try. Meg is very freaked when she finds herself kidnapped by a strange looking man that takes her to a strange place where they intend to sell her.

Beck is the warrior half of a set of symbiotic twins. His twin Cian is the intellectual half and they're actually 2 halfs of one whole, sharing a soul between 2 bodies. They are the rightful heirs to the throne of the Seelie court but the throne was stolen by their Uncle (who killed the rest of their family) and they were forced in to hiding and have little support currently. They needed a bondmate to balance their connection by the age of 25 and since they're now 30, they're declining mentally, Beck descending in to rage that he's having more and more trouble controlling and Cian losing his will to go on, fading while still alive. They desperately need a bondmate and when Beck finds out one is up for the prize in a tourney, he uses the last of their gold to enter the tourney.

Before the tourney starts, Beck goes to see the bondmate available, Meg. She's not happy about being sold and tries to get him to choose another woman. The other women can't be bondmates though and Beck likes the looks of Meg. He tests her ability to bond (via a little hand action) and even then a small connection stays between them. Meg finds herself wanting Beck and hoping that he'll win her (although she still plans to run at her earliest opportunity) because most of the other contestants are vampires and Beck seems like her best option. Beck wins the tourney and Meg but almost looses it at the end of the fight and Meg helps him control it, forming a bond right there on the coliseum floor. While caught up in the strong emotions of the bonding, Meg ends up performing oral on Beck in front of everyone. Beck is embarrassed by his behavior towards her (thinking he was too rough and didn't treat her as he should have taking her out in front of everyone) and in his embarrassment, he makes Meg think he's upset with her. There's more of these types of misunderstandings as they leave to go back home, Beck is gruff but wants her so much he ends up taking her and more roughly than he feels he should. Meg likes him being dominant and tries to encourage that but comes to realize that Beck can't handle that part of himself and tries to reject those needs for some reason. She ends up getting a chance to run and does but while on the run, she changes her mind and decides she should give Beck a chance. As she's trying to find her way back to Beck, she ends up running in to some trouble and he has to save her from a watery death.

When Beck gets Meg back to his home, he introduces her to Cian. Cian is so off that he forgets where and when he is and sometimes goes from thinking he's still a kid to being a grown man. Meg knows she has to bond with Cian too but is willing to...She's found feelings growing for Beck and wants to help Cian as well. Before she's able to do that, problems arise between Meg and Beck (stemming from Beck's regressing his sexual urges) that causes a breach between them. It doesn't help that Beck takes a job on another plane to bring in some money and leaves Meg alone with a messed up Cian and no help on what to do. His behavior makes Meg believe he doesn't really want her at all and just bonded with her to save Cian but doesn't really want her. This seems to be confirmed when Beck's ex-lover comes and tells her a story about her and Beck's love being torn apart by his need to marry Meg in order to save Cian's life. Little do we realize just how much a bitch Beck's ex actually is. Regardless of her belief that Beck loves someone else, Meg still bonds with Cian in an effort to save him. It does save him and when Cian bonds with her he realizes what his brother's done and all Meg has gone through. He decides he's going to win Meg's love and be whatever she needs (even though she's unwilling to put herself out there for more rejection again). It takes some time but Cian is able to bring Meg around and she falls in love with him as much as Beck. She also starts integrating with the local villagers and everyone loves her (loved the coffee discussion with the Goblins!). When Beck gets back there's some issues but he manages to make things up to Meg and gets her to trust him again. The three bond completely and it brings Beck and Cian's full powers out, something they didn't expect. The Ex shows up again causing trouble but we find out just how bad of a person she is as she sends Meg back to Texas and tries to kill Beck and Cian when they're not expecting it. Meg uses some quick thinking and an unexpected ally to get back to Beck and Cian, taking out the bitch and saving the day. The story ends with the trio together and starting their HEA, although the issue of their getting the Kingdom back will have to wait for later in the series. :D

This was a great book. I loved Meg, she's a great heroine...very strong and sarcastic most of the time (but totally willing to submit in the bedroom). Cian and Beck were great too, the perfect compliment for each other, Beck is rough and dominating and Cian is sweet and adoring. I love the secondary characters as well and am looking forward to the next book which revolves around Beck and Cian's cousin, Dante (who's a vampire). I'd recommend this book. 2 thumbs up! :D

10/1/16 - I just finished a reread of this book (for a BoTM discussion). I still love this story and would definitely recommend it. :)

This is a hard book for me to rate. There is a bit I don't like but a lot more that I love.

Sophie Oak is great at world building and creating a community of characters, which is one of my favorite thing about her. Her communities are so detailed that not only do I feel like I know what its like to live there, but I'm happy there too.

As burnt out on fantasy as I'm feeling, this felt fresh. The symbiotic twin twist to menage was fun as well. The twins are extreme characters because they are half of the same soul. One got all the softness and the other the hard. So her relationships with them are very different as well. With the hard, warrior twin, Beck's and Meg's relationship is fraught with misunderstanding and hurt. But with the softer, intelligent twin, Cian, Meg finds understanding and a love that always seeks to please her.

The major thing I didn't like was how Beck dismissed Meg's needs and didn't bother to listen until she basically had to hit him over the head with it half a dozen times. The 'he wants to master her, she wants to be sexually mastered, he doesn't believe he should master her or that she really wants it, because she only wants to please him and not herself' thing got tedious.

So in order to treat her like she deserves he treats her like dirt because he doesn't trust himself with her. It was a bit much.

That being said this was my favorite kind of BDSM to read. I love reading it as part of sex, but the woman being treated like a full time slave and doormat just aggravates me. Beck warns that its in his nature to try to take more than just sexual dominance and she warns him that he can try but won't be successful. Way to go, Meg! I really hate full time dominance.

Basically, Meg is a lucky girl. 1 brother to sexually dominate her and the other brother her sexual toy. It makes for a nice balance. ;-)

I found this book on a site that was nominating best books of different categories and this title kept coming up so I thought I would check it out. The title leads one to believe it was BDSM erotica but it was more PNR to me as there are elements of bdsm but it is not the main focus of the story.

It has the usual hunky males but these are symbiotic twin brothers that share a soul and need a bondmate to complete them. This was a bit of a different spin on menage. Since the brothers share one soul, each brother has very specific personality traits.

It has bad hags, techie vampires, gnomes, planeswalker demons, kelpies, goblins who like cookies (this scene was one of my favorites) and explicit sex. Several times I set the book down and said "arrrrrg" about the lack of communication between characters. So much would have been avoided if they actaully talked to one another. Other than that it was a fun read.

I could see the author continuing with this world and building on other characters in the story for future books.

Re read, I love the humor in these books.

This was my first Sophie oak book and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect such wonderful characters. The story line I thought was pretty solid too, of course the sex wasn't half bad either. If yo are offended by explicit sex and multiple partners then this book isn't for you. It was however very good for me. 4 stars.

I got this as a freebie for joining Lexi Blake/ Sophie Oak’s mailing list. Didn’t expect much since it was a freebie and the cover was cheesy af. Boy was I surprised. I was hooked from page one.

Megan is a plain old human who’s had a pretty crappy life. Her parents suck. Her ex-husband is an asshole. She doesn’t have many friends and her life is lonely. Until the day she wakes up in a weird world that she believes to be a dream.

She seems to be captured and imprisoned. She soon learns that she is to be sold off to a tall, built, gorgeous hunk of a man who turns her on just by looking at her. Not bad, right? Then she learns that he’s a king. One helluva dream.

She eventually learns the truth. She is the bondmate of Beck, the Unseated Seelie king and his brother Cian. She can save the brothers by marrying them and bonding with them.

There is soooo much more to the story than expected. I adored the brothers and their people, loved Meg, and wanted more Dante. Before I finished the first book, I’d already bought the rest of the series.

The second book with Dante’s story is turning out to be equally entertaining. This series proves that you truly cannot judge a book by its cover.

I miss some fae story and I’ve been finding some books for my fix and then I saw this one on the feeds and its Sophie Oak and fae and I have to check this out fast.

Bam! Ménage, too? Ha! That’s just it, I guess.

What I love about the fae culture is that they have weird proclivities in sex sometimes. Doesn’t matter the gender, who their partner is as long as they are upfront about it. But it appeals to me so much when they are able to feel this indescribable feeling of possessiveness. But this one is about finding a mate.

It was about this myth regarding a triad relationship. The mate, the female will balance and connect the twins creating a powerful rulers that will rule the Seelie Court.

And there was the cousin vampires and holy effing shit, this promised and became an enjoyable read for me.

I love Tammy. Everything about her. Her vulnerabilities, her indecisions, the doubts, all the imperfections and perfections. Even her naiveté and stubbornness.

Cian is just so cute and adorable. Even before the mating, like when he was following Tammy like a puppy. And after when he becomes this alpha. I think I also love how his crazy mind works and his one track mind that all he thinks about is sex.

Beck is the Alpha. But I hate him. Gah, he’s stubbornness and that feeling that he had to do everything. What the heck Beck? You were hurting me. But eventually, of course, I love him but like Cian. Ha, I feel like I was Tammy.

Action packed with humor on the side, a bit of drama and a world of adventure with off the charts hotness and steamy sex.

First let me say I hate fairy tales. I read every one as a child and still get nauseated thinking about cinderella, beauty and the beast, and the three little pigs. So i must have been out of my mind to actually think of reading this one. But the reviews tempted me. I still hesitated over the purchase button even then but finally closed my eyes and pushed "buy".
So begins my reaffirmation that a brilliant author can make silk out of anything. Story line paced. Hunks twice the fun, sex - hot. I'm already looking for Beast.A lot of work went into this read. Not only does one have to be true to a general existing fable but how to adapt it to sell it to modern readers. If I could edit out the x parts I think I would read it to my grandkids. the story itself is that good. But I won't. This will be just my fairy tale to go to sleep to.

OMG! Bound was *SIGH* PERFECT!!! I wish there where a million more books out there like it. REALLY!! My first love in reading is and will probably always be paranormal romance. BUT I just get bored to tears with reading the same ol same ol vanilla bore! I LOVE my kink, and Bound is BDSM HAPPY!! Which makes me ecstatic! Really! I feel like it's Christmas, and my Birthday all rolled into one GREAT BOOK!! I actually can not think of one single thing that I did not like or that annoyed me. Maybe that was just because I was overjoyed to have to two favorite genres come together so perfectly. Vampires, Fae, elfs, goblins, gnomes, werewolves, demons ALL IN ONE. It does NOT get any better IMHO. If anyone knows of more that compare PLEASE lead the way :D

I just hope that this book is the beginning of a series, because I need more!! This was so different and so good. Terrific characters, a unique adventure and so much potential for this story to continue. I loved Beck and Cian, and I want to hang out with Meg and Dante. Oh that Dante, he really needs his own book. I didn't want to leave this world and I hope I get to visit again.

I have read quite a few books from Sophie Oak and she always tells a great story, lots of humor and tons of steam.

4 DON'T-JUDGE-A-BOOK-BY-ITS-RAUNCHY-COVER STARS

I was enthralled by this story from the first page. In fact, I couldn't stop reading, even though it was nearly 1:30 in the morning.

Mrs. Oak's ability to bring life to remarkable characters, wonderful settings, interesting universe and hot, sweaty, lady-parts-throbbing sex make this book much fun to read.

Truly a exciting read. Next one features Dante and I just have to know what mischief he will get into.

I will admit that I put this book down a few months ago and only picked it up again yesterday. It sort of stalled a bit for me part way through. There are so many different paranormal characters in this fae world and different 'planes' for characters to live in - such as Vampires, Brownies, Goblins, gladiators, etc. Our heroine is human and has ended up as the mate for twin fae kings. So, there is Ms Blake's usual BDSM element to the story - Dom/Sub - M/F/M.

The book is well written and there are many steamy scenes interwoven through the back story, which is intense and needs concentration to understand this strange world. Once you get into it though it's very entertaining. The copy I'm reading is an updated version of this older story, originally written under the name Sophie Oak.

I don't know how I got here, I just know that it wasn't as bad as the cover makes it look. I wanted a romance and some fantasy and that's what this book delivers. It was a surprisingly complete story with plot and even world building.
As always with this genre, there are some problematic aspects that should not be romanticize, so it's good to read it with that awareness.

An erotic paranormal romance with a whole lot of story. I was impressed. This book has a strong plot, drama, excitement, humor and a kick-ass princess. I especially enjoyed the variety of cultures on the different planes/worlds. I am intrigued by some of the secondary characters and am looking forward to reading about them in future books.

When Megan is abducted by a demon and taken to a different realm at first she assumes its a horrible nightmare. Then, when she starts to understand what has happened all she can think about is finding a way to escape and get back home. But the longer she spends in Faery, especially with twin brothers Beckett and Cian, the more she starts to question herself. Why return home to a dead end job, a failed marriage and a family she never sees when she could stay here and be happy? But first Meg has to decide whether she can accept the relationship that Beck and Cian are offering her or whether she prefers to fight for something on her own terms.

I've become a huge Lexi Blake fan since I first started reading her rereleased Sophie Oak books, I love the Texas Sirens and Nights in Bliss series and I really like the way all of her books tie into one large universe. As much as I love her contemporary romances I'm really a paranormal girl at heart so I wanted to read this series the minute I first heard about it and I wasn't disappointed. Bound is a great introduction and pulls readers into a world full of fae and vampires, one with multiple realms and interesting politics.

Meg is a great character, she's a normal human girl who had no idea that other realms existed until she was forcibly taken into one so she's totally out of her depth in the beginning but she's no pushover and once she starts to figure things out she works hard to make a place for herself. She's had enough of living for other people's expectations and is determined to take control of her own destiny. Beck is the more dominant of the twins, he's the one who likes to be in control and who wants to protect the people he cares about but he has a few personal hangups that were very frustrating for Meg to deal with. I could understand why he acted the way he did but I was glad that Meg fought to show him what she needed. Cian was definitely the more relaxed brother, he's more of a joker and takes things less seriously but that doesn't make him any less committed to Meg and their relationship. Meg had a great connection with both of her men and this story was just as hot as the Bliss / Texas Sirens books.

I think what I loved most was that Meg was the real hero of the story, she is the one who comes to the rescue and she definitely earns her happily ever after. I loved the twin's vampire cousin Dante so I'm really happy that his book is next and I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

I am not usually a fan of fantasy, but this sword-and-sorcery was a lot more sword and not too much sorcery or magic. Meggie gets kidnapped to become the woman to complete the trio, but this didn't really follow the stereotypical plot. In addition to hot sex, there was a mish-mash of different cultures colliding and inter-mingling in humorous ways. One sub-plot that really worked for me was the difficulty a "good" man has being dominant in bed. This was a core dilemma for the trio, and the resolution was on-target.

Good plot, hot sex, strong characters all around.

My only complaint - my pet peeve - there was no sex during the resolve of the book. The last 10% was thrilling and provided a HEA, but they didn't get to demonstrate their happiness.

PS: This was selected for me in a group cross-selection match-up. I never would have picked it, but I'm glad I read it.

There are some amazingly funny passages in this enjoyable Sophie Oak book.

"She'd done the only thing she knew to do. If she was staying with him, then she needed to start training him. Sure, it usually went the other way. The submissive got trained by the Dom, but Meg had decided that her Dom was a dumbass, and things would work differently with them."

"'I want you to run,' Cian whispered into her ear, 'run and don't look back.' He was such a drama queen."

and many more....

Very good book, with fantasy and paranormal characters. I expected it to be a standard erotic reading, but it has a lot more plot than love scenes. It was original and entertaining enough that kept my interest till the end and the twin heroes were great, one very proper, the other very playful. Their ménage relationship with the heroine was hot and sweet.

The book is well written and the sex scenes are smoking hot. I'm looking forward to the next in the series. This book is PNR turned up a notch or two! Includes some mild BDSM,and MFM.

I'm so glad I finally got the chance to read this series, but sad I didn't get the chance to read the OG book and compare the differences!

Meg is a human transported to the Faery plane and finds herself the long hoped-for mate to twins Beck and Cian.

Loved the fact that she is the main star of the book and the guys are her willing subjects.
Overall an enjoyable book and I'm already diving into book 2, Beast.
