This was an intense story as it moved me in many ways. I would like to read more from this author because the topic of 'family secrets' stirs me up! I'm for spreading the word about abuse that happens behind doors. It is time we see more books like this. Something that will wake up the public to the dangers all around us. The statistics of domestic violence are staggering and it is a very real trap that many women and their children find themselves lost. A very difficult situation to break away from and sometimes really bad things happen before they can get out. This is a short read and well worth the time but be forewarned...it will change you and move you into action. The ending caught me by surprise and although I was rooting for the characters, I was glad the bad guy was taken care of. Awesome job Aynoit...TY for writing and sharing this very important topic!
