I expected a grand tale of sailing, exploring familiar as well as new exotic locations all tied in some sort of adventurous made up plot. It might therefore not come entirely as a surprise that the book did not meet these expectations. As a matter of fact this exceedingly well written book by Joe Aston, raised many theological & philosophical issues. It grapples with secularist world views as it is expressed so often by people one meets on the streets these days, providing some answers, yet opening up even more questions that are still in need of answers, it continuously points in the direction of where the solution to the issues that are so important in this time, may be found. There was many a time when I was tempted to take out a pen to underline this sentence and that...but one does not do that in novels does one?
