Like the hands on a ticking clock, life is coming back around for Tyree. She’s three years older and wiser, but some things remain the same. Sharing a daughter with NFL superstar Kamaal Duval keeps her connected to and reminded of feelings she’s fought hard to forget. She’s been fooled twice before and refuses to lose a third time. Like Tyree, Kamaal has moved on with life, settling for what he can get since he can’t have what he desires most. He’s adjusted to his new normal and feels he’ll be fine if things remain okay. Until they aren’t. Lessons and glimpses into the possibility of wholeness give Kamaal a new take on life, giving him the push he needs to fight for what he wants. Like a game on any given Sunday, Monday, or Thursday, the battle for love Isn’t over until It’s over. Kamaal could only hope Tyree is willing to show up to play.
I was very excited to see what was going to happen with Tyree and Kamaal since it was apparent they were still in love. I know Kameila knew she was the placeholder. Having Kamaal's baby did not remove his love and his heart for Tyree. Ray Charles could see that. Kameila was too sneaky for me to want her for Kamaal. And something about Izaak made me think he was temporary too. He was just fluff for the story. He made no impression on me at all. The kids.... Oh, how I loved the children in this story. Karl... Man, I almost lost my stuff about his part at the end of the story; it had my eyes leaking like crazy. The story overall was a full-circle tale. Kamaal finally took his therapy sessions seriously. His friends, circle, and family enclosed him with the friendship and guidance he needed. Tyree was able to realize her worth and her strength were essential to her self-development. She finally realized she was worth loving wholly. The ancillary characters help to meld this story into a Mr. Spockishly (Star Trek) spectacular tale. I admit I was happy when Kameila disappeared from this story. She wasn't needed. Oh well. Any way..... I loved this final Duval visit; I am sure we will see them again. Hint. I know you will enjoy this one. You will need to check out the first and second books first. My rating is 4.85 stars...
I am a sucker for a sports romance and this one is one of my favorites. The way that this last book provided closure was great. Kamaal’s growth as a character was great. It was perfectly said that Karl was Kamaal and Tyree’s soul tie. Let me not forget to mention while this being a sports romance as a reader I liked that when the games were happening there was detail and not just that he played the game and won. Also the dance when Kamaal and AB dance I was in tears just like they were. Great job with this series.
This book gave me all the feels. The character growth was amazing. Kamaal really amazed me in this book. He was less selfish and more attentive to his family needs. He did the work needed to get his family back. This was a pure joy to read and has to be my favorite book written by Chassilyn. Her growth is really showing.
I really enjoyed this whole series, even though Tyree and Kaamal frustrated me at times. I loved the growth of the characters from the beginning to the end. A great ending to a great series.
Alls well that ends well, even with the messy drama. Chassilyn was in her bag with this series and I’m just glad Kamaal and Tyree finally came to their senses and got their love together
So many words comes to mind when I think about the ending to this series and the one that stands out the most is perfection. The pace of the story, the character development, the many different emotions you experience not only in the book as a whole but from chapter to chapter, the chemistry that was off the charts between Tyree and Kamaal let’s me know the author took her time to let this story develop naturally and beautifully. Tyree and Kamaal were made for each other and with the odds being stacked against them, when life kept throwing them curveballs rather it be other relationships they were in or unfortunate circumstances they were destined for one another and I’m so glad they got their happy ending because they both deserved it. I told the author she was money mayweather towards the end of this book because she just kept coming with hits breaking me down sobbing because of the beautiful way Kamaal evolved into the man he became to not only be better for himself but for his family as well!
I am so sad to see these characters go, I hope Chassilyn considers more sports romances. This book was so enjoyable, you will not be able to put this book down! Kamaal, I can not believe he slipped up like that with Kameila. But his growth throughout this book was commendable. Yes he makes major mistakes, but by the end of the book, you Def be Team Kamaal. My girl Tyree, she could not catch a break, but she kept her a paid man okay! Loved her growth throughout this book as well. I felt bad for Izaak bc he really did seem like a good man who just got caught in between Tyree and Kamaal figuring things out. Kamiela, ugh, desperation personified. Didn't feel sorry for her none, she was always painstakingly aware of Tyree's place in Kamaal's life and played herself in the end. She had to be outside of her body when she tried Tyree & I really wish Tyree gave it up to her, but growth prevailed! Loved loved loved Toni, Rashawn, and Da'quan. I really enjoyed this series and can't wait to read more of CHASSILYN's work.
I have really enjoyed this book. It was the best ride at the amusement park. For this couple to enjoy co-parenting to seeing the love Aunt Brenda had for her family was breathtaking. I went through several emotions. I love football and to live my dreams through this book was just great. If you love sports and the ins and outs of the players lives this is for you. Chassilyn put her all in this one. I only wish to read more sports oriented books. Well written. Very informative. True to life.
The culmination of this series most definitely brought everything full circle between Tyree and Kamaal! Nothing worth having comes easy. And although they were tested time and time again...love, a little therapy and an awesome support system in the form of friends and family got them across the finish line! Congratulations to author Chassilyn Hamilton for seeing this series through. Your growth and development as a writer was evident with each release. And I'm happy I stuck with it, because you delivered in the end!
5 STARSSSS!! This entire series was so good! Kamaal and Tyree have the type of love story that reminds me that TRUE love always prevails. They both had some growing, learning and forgiving to do and BOTH put in the necessary work for their relationship to succeed. Their vows had me in tears. I'll be looking forward to reading what's next for author Chassilyn Hamilton.
I’m so sad to see them go but happy to see their growth. Kamaal drove me absolutely crazy in books 1&2. Like crazy I had to find Chassilyn’s social media just to tell her this lol. Tyree is absolutely better than me because I would’ve BEEN left for real but LOVE IS a BEACH….ITS PEACE. I’m glad it ended how it ended, made me smile. Ready to see what’s next from Ms. Hamilton.
When I tell you I had so many emotions reading this series, I was mad, laughing, crying, all that! Beautifully written and took my breath away on many occasions. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good ass love story. Because all good love stories evoke emotion and the way I was rooting for characters in this book made me feel like I was right there. Good book. Read it, you’ll like it. I promise.
This finale was everything!! So much growth. I’m glad that Kamaal redeemed himself because hubby I did not like the way he had my girl Tyree. When you realize the error in your ways you fix it. Tyree deserve every good thing that happen to her in this finale. It was her time, because hunny she has been threw it. I’m definitely going to miss them!! Great ending to a great series!
I did enjoy this series immensely, at first I was like that’s just too much drama, but the story was so well written I got over it, so glad that Tyree got her HEA. Kamaal grew into the man and father that he was supposed to be. I enjoyed all the bumps in the road along the way.
This is what I've been waiting for! The energy in this story leaped from the pages! From the way they chanted Duval to power in truly forgiving ourselves and others. This author completely developed her characters and gave the storyline enough time to breathe and take on a life of its own! Loved it
The ups and downs that Tyree and Kamaal experienced were breathtaking and kept me on the edge of my seat. This entire series is a great read that I read it again from book 1. I can’t wait to see if there is another one from the Duval family. I hope so.
I really felt like I needed to be delivered from the roller coaster 🎢 ride Kamaal and Tyree were on. At times I wanted them happy together but at other times I wanted her happy without him. This series was so good⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I thoroughly enjoyed each book💙🏈💜
Ms.Hamilton made us wait for the best in the series,as she did her thing. Love this mature Kamaal,as well as a centered Tyree. Kameila stepped way outside that line. Good supporting characters, beautiful kids, wonderful aunt also, finally happy couple.
This book was awesome. What an amazing way to round out the series. The storyline kept me on my toes, waiting to read what happens next. The author did not disappoint. I feel that this third book was better than the first two. A great read!
This was really a good ass series I’m soo happy tyree and Jamal made it the connection and love they have for one another was sooo mf beautiful. Great story
I enjoyed this series and to read the growth between the two of these characters was amazing. I am so thankful they ended up be with each other through all the trails and tribulations.
