Organizing is a process and not one that requires you to tackle the entire house in one sweeping session. As such, youll find that this book is arranged according to the various hot spots in the home, starting with the area inside the front door and continuing through to the garage. Chapter by chapter, room by room, youll find helpful and practical techniques for creating (and maintaining) order.
This is a beautiful book. An interior decorator’s book. Because Mr. Loecke is an interior decorator who understands organizing principles and who employs them creatively, playfully and with great care. AND, best of all, he understands budgets, and is as comfortable with repurposing a big-box-store laundry hamper to hold sports equipment as he is hunting up an antique library card catalog file cabinet for paper clips and rubber bands. This is an excellent book for inspiration and practical suggestions.

This book was okay. I think a better title may have been "Let's see how many different ways we can fit shelves into an environment." I know not everyone lives in a 300 square foot apartment, but I thought I might find at least one idea for creative storage. You want to talk about organized -- I have to be in order to keep my place tidy and find what I'm looking for at a moment's notice.
This book is more geared towards the suburban homeowner who has the spare cash to install custom bookcases or create pantries out of seldom-used corners so obviously it didn't speak to me. I found it fun to look at even if it is impractical.
After looking at many storage/organizing books I was very glad to find this one. I has a bunch of great ideas that I hadn't thought of. I only had one negative about this book and that was that all the rooms in the book were so large it did really have that many ideas that would fit into my tiny house.
More photos than text - great to page through and look at. Covers areas such as entryways, spice storage, storing media, closets, and laundry rooms - among others.
This is accurately titled: it's more like a collection of magazine photos with short captions than a detailed, process oriented organizing book. Taunton magazines have lovely ideas and photography, so I enjoyed leafing through.
