I've never read the Bad Kitty series. I thought this was a stand alone book. But I'm pleasantly surprised by how witty and slapstick the read was. I love that type of humor.
I ended up reading the colored version, since there was the original black and white book that came out. I would definitely recommend reading this in color since it catches your attention, and presumably a child's attention.
I was happy to see that there are facts in this book that tie in well with what Bad Kitty is going through. The information about vet trips and what types of vets there are, was well written in good detail. It kept me, the reader, engaged with the dialogue since it has light hearted humor, especially by the uncle in his fun facts section. There are only two humans seen in the book, the uncle and the vet. You see the owner of Bad Kitty only by his hands or feet. The rest is seen through the view of Kitty herself.
This book is a classic cartoon style read that would delight the readers, cat lovers and cartoonists alike. I recommend this book and will probably check out the others from the Bad Kitty series.
Bad Kitty hates going to the vet and won't hesitate to let you know it either! Learn what will work and not work to get Bad Kitty to the doctor. With tidbits of information on why visits to the veterinarian is important for animals and any pets in general, this book will bring lots of chuckles. Bad Kitty's experience of coming out of sedation is particularly funny, as she finds herself at the pearly gates of pussycat paradise!
Once again, I have read one of these books during a break in studying. It’s such a lovely experience. I did not expect, however, to see a cat have the realization that they will be going to cat hell once they die.
