I was without a book on hand (crisis!) so I just picked this up. It's a decent enough introduction on dealing with anxiety and I was familiar with several of the techniques discussed to minimize this feeling, namely breathing exercises, visualization, and meditation.

I don't suffer from anxiety but I am around it all the time --I am a teacher/librarian-- so it was nice to re-read the most reliable ways to deal with this affliction.

If you know nothing about anxiety this is the book for you. However if you have done prior research on this topic there is no new information here.

This helped me to realize a lot about my own anxiety because I haven't been able to see a doctor about it yet. Useful techniques to help with all types of worries, fears, phobias, thought patterns etc ! Love it!

I feel like I need to buy ten of these books right off the bat just so that I can start distributing them to my loved ones who could so benefit; if only they would read the and apply the practical wisdom in this book.

I love how simply everything is laid out. I love that there's continued exercises accessible for free online to further assist your efforts.

Next book, I'm thinking...patience would be a great 30 minute topic to cover. Or empathy.

I like this author's "chin up," approach to anxiety. He gave me more perspective as to how anxiety is reallya basic emotion and not the monster its often illustrated to being, which is half the battle. I'm definitely enjoying it and finding it beneficial 3 chapters in.
