I knew this man and his family personally. Ted Walker, was one of the best English Professors at New England College Arundel in Sussex England. There wasn't a student that did not relish taking a class from this man. When I lived in England for five years, his son Billy and I were very good friends. We went to the same schools together. He and his father both introduced me to British Soccer and I became a supporter of the same team they rooted for Chelsea. I also learned a thing or two about what is know as The Beautiful game. To say that this review of this book is a bit biased is an understatement. This man was a brilliant writer and I read this many years ago, long after I left England. It's a poignant look at his life, his family and how he became a successful writer of fiction, poetry and television. If you ever have a chance, please read this book, you will not be sorry you did.
