This out-of-print book is worth tracking down. It is the life story of noted folk artist the Rev. Howard Finster told in his own words. Finster became famous for his unique visionary paintings and his construction of Paradise Garden, a folk art environment.

If you know anything about Howard Finster's folk art, it's worth reading this book. It gave me insight into why he created the things he did.

I am quite happy I was able to visit Finster's Paradise Gardens. This book is fun and full of the charms of the Reverend. As a book, I think I enjoyed the writing of Tress Prisbrey much, much more but still enjoyed the journey.
