Lots of good practical advice for those who teach tweens. Numerous ideas you can easily implement into your own classroom. There were also several things she shared and I was thinking, I do something similar. It was nice to feel some positive reinforcement for what I already do. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion for teaching in the tween world. Heather’s caring about her students leaps off the page at you. It reminds me why I teach.

The author does a great job of explaining the middle school brain! I I think all teachers new to middle school would benefit from this book.

This was a good book to encounter new tips on teaching middle school students. Although I did not find it extensive it it's comments, it did provide some new ideas for working with tweens. It served as a good reminder of how tweens need to be taught in a way which taps their unique interests. There were spelling errors in the text which put me off a bit.. This was a quick read with quirks and insights into the tween learner.
