Single mother and third grade teacher Nona Huff has big dreams: a promotion to Vice Principal and making her parents proud. There are only three sins standing in her way--
Franklin, mature and successful. Terry, the much younger artist. And Vince,
her new colleague, who would be the perfect man if he wasn't after her promotion.
She chose the “independent” label because she’s already made an A+ in Heartbreak 101. Now that she's directing the sheet music, can anyone touch her heartstrings?

Nona Huff hasn't been lucky in love or life in general. She has lived through a rough divorce and raised two boys on her own. After working herself through school she is finally teaching at an elementary school she loves. Feeling the need to shield her heart she is dating three different men, getting her happy back and waiting for the vice principal position to fall in her lap. That is until she falls head over heels in love with Vince - who also has his mind set on getting the same position.

In a series of unfortunate events, Nona is reunited with her ex-husband, car is tampered with and she is in danger of losing her job. Anderson does a wonderful job at developing the characters especially detailing people we would hate - Ebone, Frankie and Seven; people we would love - Mickey, Dianne and Big Poppa; and even a few that would leave us wondering - Terry and Vince. Nona had a series of flashbacks which at times confused this reader making one have to page back to get the line up straight.

Anderson continues to work her magic with words. Glad she has made come back to romance. We all have sins so why not read about it. Pick it up today!
