A collection of short stories based on the theme 'trapped'. Some of these stories are based on actual events. I leave it to you, the reader, to decide which. An I know these walls. Even in the dark I can follow them, my fingertips flowing over the smooth plaster. Feeling for the cracks and ridges, the cusps worn smooth with age. Worn by my body as it drifts silently backwards and forawrds. I use my visual memory to recall images from my life before. Here in the cellar the tactile sense of touch is all important. As my fingers glide over the surface of the walls I feel a fondness for every nuamnce in the plaster. Yes, I know these walls. Every inch of them.
I am a musician, a wildlife biologist and a writer of songs and stories. Born in Manchester I moved to Liverpool in time to catch the birth of the Mersey Beat. In the early 80s I lived and worked in Heidelberg, Germany and moved to York in 1983 where I now live. I have run a hedgehog rescue centre for 27 years and grow vegetables on an allotment. I have published 7 books as paperbacks and 8 ebooks and am about to publish my 14th novel. I like to write on diverse topics, including gothic and parallel world themes. My latest book, The Dark Mirror, is a crime thriller with a supernatural twist.
