I bought this on a lark from Value Village for like $2, because it sounded like the most amazing theory I’ve ever heard. This theory isn’t limited to this book though - it is a theory that’s still around. Not a lot of scientists buy into it, but hey, that Galileo, no one believed him? ;)

The book is an easy read that is very simple to digest. It starts off with a few chapters trying to prove that aliens exist (which I skimmed, because of course I believe aliens exist and had a hand in some of our ancient monuments - I’m not an idiot), and then another long chapter about early astronomers seeing lights on the moon that I kind of skimmed too because those people were using telescopes that are crappier than ones they make for kids.

Once it gets into it, the main points about the moon being a spaceship are repeated in various approaches in different chapters (which was a good way of doing it, as it helped me remember everything). There is a lot, and I mean a lot, of evidence in this book. But I say 'evidence' with small quotes because it raises compelling arguments while also being a little bit reaching.

Some of the points have been disproven or explained by more modern science, but upon further research after finishing the book, there are some points that still could stand. As such, while I don't believe the moon is a spaceship, I REALLY REALLY wish the moon was a spaceship.

Overall, this book was a fun, easy read that shows a lot about the 1970s.

Was “this book ... the most mind-boggling experience of [my] life” (as the prologue would suggest)? No, but it's definitely a theory I'll be bringing up at parties!

Really, REALLY enjoyed this book. Right up my street. I had just started reading David Icke's "Human Race Get off your Knees ..." when I was looking through my much loved and sadly missed, Uncle John's books. This just feel into my hands and I felt compelled to read it as it was exploring the same themes as in Icke's book! Fascinating theories. I would definitely recommend this book.

Oh boy. This guy really believes the moon is a space ship. Like, *really* *really* believes it. And it is really comes across in his writings. I did go into the book expecting a biased view of things, but this is merely a collection of all the stuff that even marginally support his view and everything that might be mildly against it, gets shot down quickly and without much thought.

He uses a lot of very vague NASA transmissions, historical descriptions, and cherry picked quotes to support his cause, which, especially with the former two, can be quickly disregarded if one doesn't have the 'Moon == Spaceship!'-tinted glasses on.

He vaguely comes up with the conclusion that the Moon must be 20 billion years old, but have arrived just about 12-14.000 years ago (Who cares about organisms who evolved to follow the phases of the moon over 1-2 billions of years), and talks about there being movement on the moon which must be from space ships, yet also concludes that the beings inside must be dead by now. Oh, and also puts up the possibility, based on historical descriptions, that humankind must be related to the Moons inhabitants (And doesn't mention fossil records completely disproving this). In general, the vast majority of his sources are random quotes and historical snippets that fits his theory.
A lot of his science is also based on a few years of physical evidence of how the Moon is composed, and of course, since then, most of his theories have been completely disproved by modern science. But even then, lots of things could be rejected even with 1975's view of the Moon.

• Random accounts by random people who has an oppinion on the moon, and random stories from thousands of years ago that fits the theory? Can't be false, so spacecraft.
• Lights in craters? Not ice, but spaceships.
• Random objects that could be interpreted as buildings on the moon but never found again because they likely were never there? Not a trick of the eye, so spacecraft.
• Movement on the moon? Not a trick of the eye or something moving in front of lenss, but spaceships.
• The moon couldn't possibly exist because pseudo-science? Not fake, so spacecraft.
• Astronauts see bogeys in space? Not stuff we put up there ourselves or celestial objects viewed from cramped windows while tumbling around at 30.000 km/h, but spaceships.
• Life on Earth evolved dependent on the moon for 1-2 billion years? Disregard because it can't be true, because spacecraft!

There are several sub sections that would benefit amazingly from having this image at the end, because all his sections end up with "Therefore, based on my completely biased view, it can't be anything but":
Spaceship!

He goes to hilarious lengths to prove that the moon is in fact, a giant spacecraft, science and facts be damned. Fun read as such, but oh boy, what a pile of biased...

2/5 stars. One for being hilarious. Minus three for being so extremely biased, disregarding science that doesn't fit his view, and disregarding all sanity when trying to fit quotes to his theory.

I've been wanting to read this book for a while and managed to find it in a charity shop for £1! I felt the author reiterated points too often but done a good job of presenting the evidence. I suppose the radio transmission transcripts can interpreted in many ways but I do find them kind of strange, and obviously apt , to what the author is trying to prove. Overall a great read.

I read this book in 3 days. I actually couldn't put it down.

I remember picking this book up on a whim. I read it and couldn't help laughing at times. Yes, it does use a lot of NASA "revelations" and findings but misinterprets and obscures the data to further the authors conspiracy theories and conjecturing. If nothing else, it provides a good laugh.

I highly recommend this book, it should be reprinted, Don Wilson did amazing research for this work, he takes seriously the research made by two Soviet scientists, Vasin and Shcherbakov. Turns out that some of the predictions of the Soviet scientists are confirmed.
Don Wilson makes astonishing research also on the UFOs on the moon, and other anomalies found by ancient astronomers and UFOs supposedly interacting with the NASA missions. He also reveals tons of information on the Moon, some of which did change over time.
Though the conclusion that the Moon is artificial is wrong, Tom Van Flandern explains it better than anyone, there are plenty of anomalies on the moon and Don Wilson does an awesome job in revealing it for us. Amazing book, I did not expect it to be so good.

An entertaining, if unconvincing read. Firmly in the 'We don't understand it, therefore aliens' school of books. Future volumes include 'I can't find my keys, it must be Venusians,' and 'Why is Katy Perry so popular? I blame Saturn.'

The TV show: "Ancient Aliens," Season Eleven, Episode Eleven, is all about the moon being a hollowed-out spaceship. Don Wilson wrote a follow up book that proves his first: "Secrets of Our Spaceship Moon."

This book is really hilarious. The author takes his insane theories so seriously that it is impossible not to laugh.
