Absolutely one of the best metalsmithing books around. Excellent explanations of techniques and gorgeous pictures. Would recommend for an advanced beginner to metals, as some previous experience will make this book more accessable to you. Even if you're already an advanced metalsmith, it's a great peruse when you're looking for inspiration.

A delightful book on this specialized topic, if you want a hard copy though, it's pretty pricey. Lots of color photos, unlike his more basic books.

This is kind of like an extension to a section in the Complete Metalsmiths Guide on hinges and catches. It goes much more in-depth on different hinges and construction as well as images of pieces made with these techniques to help get the ideas flowing. This book would be for the more advanced students who have already covered the basic connections and want to elaborate on them.

Inspiring

and informative; excellent examples of original and totally unique designs. Nothing is cookie cutter here, which is what has bugged me about other books on PMC.
