i read this because i wanted to write a powerpoint for my friends on a bad romance novel and dear god did this one deliver.

this book is just dylan displaying red flags constantly, and ronnie resisting in the moment until we cut to her inner monologue, which is ''*twirls hair around fingers* omgggg why is he perfect actuallyyyyy.'' like his behavior was genuinely unsettling, anyone who reads this book and thinks he's some swoon worthy cowboy king needs to seriously go to a therapist. they get married after literally a week. i'd like to think ronnie wises up and escapes him shortly after but there is a third book so im sure in that one she's a happily brainwashed mother of his twins, both sons hopefully because i dont trust this man with daughters. sons he might actually love.

lastly, if you were to take a shot every time this man compares her to a HORSE in what he thinks is a positive light you'd die of alcohol poisoning!

I was lucky enough to receive an e-ARC copy of this book - I didn't know was the 2nd book to the series - but if Tyler's story is even half as good as Dylan's, I'm anxious to start on it!

I just got the go ahead from the author to post my review on this book - so here it goes :)

What an Awesome Story! I LOVE the Cowboy way - and these guys are actual hard working, strong willed Working Ranchers! They grew up with the hard life's work, and a grandfather's wise words to keep them in line.

Ronnie (Veronica) just moved from New Jersey to Pleasure Texas in order to get away from her old life and just start over. With ever last penny she had, she opened up her own Guilty Pleasure's Lingerie and Fragrances massage oils. Only someone in town wasn't too happy about it. They blamed it on bored teenagers, but someone took a baseball bat and a knife to her store, knocking down walls and shelves and tearing ever scrap of Lingerie in the store. Ronnie was mortified, but she wasn't going to let it run her out of town.. She was making friends and loved the small town on Pleasure.

Emily and Tyler (Tyler is the oldest brother from the first book of this series) were mentioned a lot in this story, Emily is Ronnie's good friend. So when Emily, blindfold Ronnie for her 25th birthday and lead around by her and Jolene (The owner of Lucky Star (bar and strip club) and brought into the club to be lassoed by the hottest and sexiest Cowboy around. Ronnie, a past that had her retreating in her tracks, tried to resist his charm, but fell hopelessly into the birthday kiss he coaxed out of her.

Dylan didn't want to work at Lucky Star, but Jolene needed him to fill in until she could find his replacement. But on this night, trying to coax a Birthday kiss from this Brunette that fought him the whole way, that is, until his lips touched hers. Then as her body melted to his, he didn't want to let her go - ever.

As luck would have it, Dylan was asked by Emily to help fix up Ronnie's shop. Being the only Garahan brother who worked in construction. Although Ronnie didn't have the money to pay him for his labor, she agreed to cook the brother's dinner every night until the job was finished.

The chase in the book was great! I loved that they both had real every day problems that seemed to turn their heads around. Even though they kept replaying that single kiss in their heads over and over until it drove them crazy, they both had ex's from their pasts that hurt them deeply. They couldn't think about being with someone else..

But like I said, it was the chase. Dylan is a very stubborn Irishman and he has alot of work on his hands trying to help run the ranch. It's a job for 20 men, and there is only the 3 of them.. well 2 1/2 since Tyler's accident.
Then there is Ronnie, a very stubborn Italian woman . And all Ronnie could think about was the Family Curse, and that Kiss - was this Irishman really worth risking having the Family Curse hit her?? Was she willing to risk it?? Would Dylan be able to convince Ronnie that the curse wasn't a curse at all??

It was worth it to read it and find out :)

Great story! Lots of Romance - hot passion - and a few yummy Itallian Recipes :D Gotta love a man with a healthy appetite :)

Some of my favorite Cowboy Slang ....

"Don't mind Tyler and his high-handed ways. Not one of those Garahan men have been housebroken yet."

"Remind me to kill Jess later."
"Done" Tyler nodded at the youngest Garahan. "You should know better than to poach."
"Claiming dibs doesn't count when the woman hasn't acknowledged the claim."

(My favorite quote)
"Making up my mind about what?"
"About whether or not you're going to let me park my boots under your bed for the next little while."

Not to forget they mentioned one of my favorite songs - Garth Brooks, Rodeo - "It's bulls and blood, it's dust and mud, it's the roar of a Sunday crowd. And damned if each and ever one of those rodeo cowboys didn't break nearly every bone in their bodies just like the song said, and they couldn't wait until they were almost healed so they could compete in the next go-round. "

Unfortunately, this one doesn't come out until January 2012 - but watch for my recommend in your boxes, because this book was great!

Cowboys, a little naked time, and lot of construction fun.

This story reeled me in quickly. The writing is tight and the story line is exciting. The characters don't just fall madly in love moments after of meeting. There's a chase. There's a peacock dance of sorts that has them both trying to decide if it's worth trying to have a something between them. And being able to see the characters from the first book, Tyler, I felt like I was reading about old friends.

There's some suspense in this heated story. Ronnie's got someone mad at her and her store gets destroyed. I felt bad. I mean, I really felt the pain she endured seeing her work slashed and crushed. I could see him being the one to help her, and I liked Dylan's role. He's the construction muscle. CH Admirand writes him so well, I could really visualize him there working and flexing to right the wrongs. Yum. I loved the way Ronnie puts him off. Yes, she gives in here and there, but overall she gives him a run for his money. I don't want to get into the details and ruin the story, but I enjoyed the heat and the way things played out. Dylan and Ronnie are a great pair.

If you want a story that's got heat, heart and a little mystery to keep you guessing, then you need to read Dylan. I recommend it.

Welcome back to Pleasure, Texas. This story by C.H.Admirand is Dylan and Ronnie's. Dylan is the middle Garahan son. He and his two brothers, Tyler and Jesse, own the Circle G ranch. They are having financial difficulties and are behind on the mortgage and the grain feed bill. Their ranch has been in the family for one hundred and fifty years and the boys are determined not to lose it. Tyler was the first one to get a second job as a stripper at the Lucky Star bar. When he became injured by the bull named, Widowmaker, Dylan was drafted for the job until Tyler could return. The pay was too good to walk away from....thirty dollars an hour plus tips! It was during his shift one night that Dylan was dancing for the birthday girl who happened to be Ronnie. One look was all it took and he was a goner.

Ronnie moved to Pleasure from New Jersey. She wanted a fresh start. When she found out her boyfriend was running around with her best friend they both became ex's. She wanted someplace where she knew no one and no one knew her. She found that in Pleasure. She started a business there named Wicked Pleasures. It was a shop that sold fancy lingerie and massage oils. But someone in town had a thing against some of the business' owned by women. Unfortunately Ronnie's shop was a target and much damage was done. Dylan was also a carpenter on the side and was hired to make repairs to Ronnie's shop.

At her birthday when she met Dylan she also felt an instant attraction. She knew she had to fight this because she would never be hurt like that again. This is their story. How they fought love but love won out. This is a book too good to pass up. The Secret Life of Cowboys is a series about the Garahan brothers but each book has a HEA with no cheating and can be read as a standalone.

I love good cowboys stories. And these two books are great. I can’t wait to read the last one. I’ve been looking for it for along time now. And run across the app while trying to find the last book to purchase to go with the first two. Can’t wait to read it.

Dylan by C.H. Admirand In an effort to save the Texas ranch owned by his family for decades, Dylan Garahan works part-time at a strip club. His role at the Lucky Star is to lasso the birthday girl and reel her in. Kissing her isn’t part of the job, but when he lassos a blindfolded Italian beauty from New Jersey, he simply can’t resist molding her body to his own and sneaking a taste.

Ronnie DelVecchio’s lingerie and fragrant oil shop has been vandalized so badly that she has to close it until it’s repaired. She arranges to cook at a ranch in exchange for help with her store. That seems to be a fair deal until she realizes the carpenter who will be helping her is the same cowboy who lassoed her on her birthday. She’s not interested in men since the break-up with her ex; especially hard-headed, stubborn fools who don’t know how to ask before they take what’s not theirs. And he’s Irish! Just what she doesn’t need is to tempt the dreaded DelVecchio curse!

Dylan is a typical alpha male and sometimes I thought Ronnie would smack him for being an over-the-top alpha. Ronnie is feisty and fully capable of handling a man who can’t take “no” where she’s concerned. She has plenty of sass to throw back at him but that just intrigues Dylan more. Luckily, even this alpha cowboy has a good sense of humor to counterbalance Ronnie’s temper. He can be pretty silly and off-kilter at times, which offsets Ronnie’s tendency to see red before she makes sense of a situation. Sparks fly from their very first meeting which is a surefire sign that their relationship, if it can surpass their fear of commitment and their over-possessive tempers, will be a passionate fiery ride.

When Dylan lassos his heroine and reels her into him, it immediately sets the stage for a sexy opening to this couple’s story. Then, when you realize she’s blindfolded? Well, that brings a whole new theme of excitement to their sexual attraction. Besides the fact that Ronnie’s store specializes in lingerie and massage oils. You know that their relationship will be a steamy one. But even what seems like paradise has some hurdles to overcome before they find their unity. Good thing the townsfolk aren’t beyond giving them a big ol’ push toward love.

In my opinion, the hero and heroine spent too much time talking to themselves out loud instead of to each other. I prefer the couple working out their differences together so the self-talk was distracting, especially since it was quoted and not italicized, which meant I wondered if they were really talking to themselves, or just thinking half the time. There were also some actions described repetitively, and although I appreciated the point made by them, they were too frequent for my taste. That said, since I read an Uncorrected Advance Copy, these issues may have been smoothed out prior to the book’s release. Eventually, this couple intrigued me enough with their actions to anticipate their happy-ever-after, and that’s when I became invested in their story without distraction.

DYLAN by C. H. Admirand is book two in THE SECRET LIFE OF COWBOYS trilogy. The trilogy focuses on three brothers who run their family’s ranch after the passing of their grandfather. Dylan is the middle brother, but since the three live together at the ranch, they’re all part of this story. Fans of the first book will enjoy catching up with the oldest brother, Tyler, and Emily. I have a feeling that Dylan’s youngest brother, Jesse, will steal a few hearts in book three.

A sexy romp, DYLAN will give you a wild-eyed peek into “the secret life of cowboys”. The Garahan men definitely know how to fight to win and love forever. I think their women secretly know exactly how to tame them enough to become steadfast life-mates. Or maybe, their women are just as wild as the Garahan brothers? I really enjoyed the last few chapters of this novel. The tension created ended in such a maelstrom of hilarity that it was a perfect finale. I laughed out loud until I cried toward the end — it was so chaotically funny and a great “Awww!” moment.

Daniella's review posted on Guilty Pleasures

Hmmm….the three Garahan Boys of Pleasure, Texas - always gentlemen…willing to help out women in distress…..gotta love it!

Tyler is a surefire winner from CH Admirand. Gotta love those Garahan boys!!!! When they agree to do something and shake on it, they do not go back on their word even if the "something" is not exactly what they presumed it to be. After applying for a second job, to help keep the Garahan Ranch from foreclosure, Tyler falls for Emily Langley, the co-owner of The Lucky Star, the new Ladies Club in town. He will do anything to be near that redhead, even if it's learning to dance to be the main attraction/stripper for the club and trying to keep the second job a secret from his brothers.

All that was going through my mind while reading this was a take-off (pun intended) of Luke Bryan's song "Country Girl (Shake it)" and I was humming "Country Boy, shake it for me" with a big smile while enjoying how their budding relationship played out.

After jumping in and becoming "one of the guys", Tyler goes after exactly who he wants. No matter what Emily just has to realize that she wants him, he wants her and…there ya have it - you would think it would be that simple, but nothing is ever simple with stubborn mule-headed people!

Dylan is the second Garahan story. The way he falls for his love is while helping out at The Lucky Star, that boy can lasso very nicely!!! Ronnie Delvecchio is a hot tempered brunette who needs a handyman to help repair her. Ronnie has always been told about a family curse regarding her love life and tries so hard to not fall for Dylan but she loves him too hard to avoid him.

When an hotheaded Italian barrel rider from New Jersey (love it) meets and falls for the man and the land sparks fly and even though it's gonna be a crazy trip for them to finally be together, it is a fun read along the way!

Jesse is the third Garahan story, and so much fun to read! CH Admirand's characters were down to earth and I was happy to be turning pages to see how things progressed in the book between Jesse Garahan, Danielle Brockway and her tiny little blond spitfire daughter Lacy. This is the third book in the Secret Life of Cowboys Series and it is a definitely a keeper right next to the first two. Love to read about the down on her luck lady who tries not to but falls into the life of Jesse Garahan. He doesn't want to fall for her but between her and her little daughter, Jesse is doomed - in a beautiful way. The old adage of never working with children or animals in Hollywood also goes for books. Little Lacy is a smart heart-string tugging cutie-pie (pun intended)!

Jesse, Dylan and Tyler are truly soft-hearted cowboys who you will love to read about again and again. I give this a resounding 4 stars!! I closed the last page of each book with a smile because you cannot help but smile with people of Pleasure, Texas.

These will be well-worn, dog-eared books. We are also introduced to a few more relatives, the cousins—quite a few cousins—sigh, that CH dangles in front of the reader with just enough alpha male yumminess (a word in my cowboy dictionary) for you to remember. Maybe in the next books? Please?

All three stories are beautiful and should be read in order, they can be read separately but together they are like a delicious layer cake with the perfect amount of icing. The way the people of this town are written pull us into the town and we become part of the quirkiness that makes Pleasure the kind of town it is.

Hot cowboys who know how to treat their women…women who know how to treat their men…an uncle who makes pie…a woman's club, a lingerie shop (named Guilty Pleasures) and a cute kid, what else do you really need???

You won't be disappointed!

Dylan, the second book in the "Secret Life of Cowboys" trilogy, takes off pretty much from where Tyler ended. Emily and Tyler are now living together at the Circle C Ranch in Pleasure, Texas. Jessie is dealing with his pretty constant female issues and Dylan is single. Tyler no longer works at the Lucky Star, but as this book begins, we find our middle Garahan brother strutting his stuff for the ladies at the strip club as a favor to Jolene Langley, Emily's cousin and the owner of the Lucky Star.

One this particular evening three ladies walk into the Lucky Star, one blindfolded. Dylan lassoes the female, her girlfriend removes the blindfold and Dylan then reels the lassoed one in. The girl, New Jersey transplant Ronnie DelVecchio, is not thrilled, but Dylan is totally attracted to the green eyed brunette with an attitude. When he kisses her in front of the crowd, Ronnie at first struggles, then melts into the hot cowboy, then does a turn around and stiffens up on Dylan. That doesn't deter Dylan in the least.

From the first kiss at the Lucky Star, Dylan knows he has to make Ronnie his. Ronnie on the other hand, while attracted to Dylan, struggles to keep her distance all because of a family "curse". Only problem with that is, Dylan is doing carpentry work on Ronnie's shop "Guilty Pleasures" which was vandalized. In exchange for the work Dylan is doing, Ronnie has agreed to cook for the Garahan brothers. The back and forth between Dylan and Ronnie builds and builds until something gives. If you want to know what that is, you have to read Dylan!

I really enjoyed reading Dylan. The Garahan boys totally had me with Tyler and this story only enhanced my love for the handsome cowboys. Ronnie DelVecchio is completely my kind of chick! She doesn't let anyone get over on her. She can hot-wire a car, she can cook and boy does she have sass. I love how C.H. has begun explaining Jessie's troubles here. That has only make me want Jessie's story NOW. Dylan is a poignant romance about two modern day people with deep roots to their perspective heritages.

Dylan is not set to release until January 1st, 2012 but C.H. Admirand was so gracious as to send me the ARC now. I met her personally at the RWA in NY in June and can tell you she is a truly amazing lady. I had already been a fan of hers with Tyler. If you haven't read Tyler, you should. The Garahan brothers are an interesting lot to explore. C.H. has also told me that Jessie will be released in July 0f 2012. Thank goodness, because I'm already going through Garahan withdrawal and that's not a good thing!

Dylan (The Secret Life of Cowboys #2) by C. H. Admirand (Sourcebooks, January 1, 2012)

In the second book, Dylan, the quietest of the Garahan brothers agrees to take over for Tyler, who has had a nasty run in with a bull at the end of the previous book. In one of Dylan’s early performances he is asked to lasso a blindfolded brunette celebrating her birthday, but when the blindfold comes off he is astonished to find a glaring pair of emerald eyes. The undertones of vulnerability in those same peepers reel him in for a mind-blowing kiss, but when he asks her to stay and meet him after the show, she gives him sass like he’s never received. Rather than put off, he’s turned on beyond belief.

Ronnie DelVecchio is a transplant from New Jersey. She’s fled an ex-husband who decided to have an affair with her best friend and her heart is more than a little wary. Add to that the DelVecchio curse – that once every other generation a DelVecchio woman loses her heart to a pureblooded Irishman and promptly has twins – and she’s running away fast from Dylan Garahan, despite the pull of those incredible kisses. But running away is slightly complicated by the fact that her friend Emily has arranged for Dylan to help Ronnie put her store back together after the town vandals decimated the interior. The fact that she’s supposed to be paying him by cooking her home-cooked Italian cuisine for the brothers puts her right in arm’s reach of that quiet middle brother who is short on talk but long on action.

Since I’m originally from Northern New Jersey, Ronnie’s character of a hot-tempered, loving Italian who believes firmly in her family’s curse is a fabulous character I immediately loved. After having her heart broken by her philandering husband, it’s easy to understand why she is not ready to leap back into love. Her gut tells her that she is in danger whenever Dylan is around. He might hesitate to talk, but his tender actions and hot loving tells her practically everything she needs to know about the kind of man he is. Dylan gave his heart to his childhood sweetheart only to get hurt when she wiped the dust of town off her feet eight years later and headed off to adventure. But he never felt like this about anyone, and he’s not about to let go of Ronnie. You will love the law that gets invoked at the end of the book!

I normally don't read western romances but I'm ever so glad I did in this case. Gonna hunt down book one about Tyler next as they boys are totally hawt! It was such a treat to read such a sensual story with high emotions and even higher heat.

Ronnie is a very attractive young lady from the East Coast who has decided that a change of scenario and of life in general is a major must need after dumping her cheating ex. Starting over financially and geographically is the easy part but when she comes to the bump in the road of a tall, dark and hunky cowboy she shies away like a spooked horse.

Dylan has been hurt hard. Tall, dark and handsome is an understatement for one of his clan of brothers. With lips that will sizzle your panties off and a Texas drawl that can rope you in heart and soul it's hard to imagine any woman saying no to him. Texas cowboy to the hilt, he works hard, loves hard and plays harder and this is as easy to him as putting his boots on in the morning. Ahh....Yumm!

This is a wonderful story of ranch life in full swing with all it's hardships and wonders. A story ripe with everything in enormous proportions. Life's hard, work's harder, love is like a Thunderstorm hovering on the horizon with emotions flaring from one extreme to the next lickity split without a pause. A story where the sex is actually hotter than the Southern heat. Yowzer!

I loved this actually. It brings you on a level of sexual tension that is almost primal in intensity. Spark meets spark, flame meets flame only to explode into a wonderous thing that we all wish we could have just once in our lives. Maybe Texas and her cowboys do things harder and rougher and I for one wouldn't mind finding out on a personal level.

While Dylan is book 2 in The Secret Life of Cowboys series by CH Admirand, I was not actually lost while reading this book. I was able to catch on to the story and the scenarios pretty quickly. Each book is about a separate couple, so reading the books out of order did not throw me.

In Dylan, Ronnie is lassoed into a cowboy’s arms, and she can’t decide if she wants to stay or leave. Ronnie is new to town, she owns a lingerie shop that had been broken into. She is trying to put her life together and establish her business and her new home. When Ronnie finds out her repairman is Dylan, the hottie cowboy who lassoed her, Ronnie is not sure if she will be able to keep her focus on her business.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. Let’s face it, cowboys are hot, and Dylan is a hard working, good looking cowboy. Ronnie is an independent woman, and proud of it. The small town people are harassing Ronnie because of what she sells (lingerie and other sexy items), and Ronnie is just trying to fit in. When Dylan is suddenly in her life, acting protective and alpha male, Ronnie flips a bit, and that is to be expected.

While I enjoyed the story, I found that some parts of the romance and the dynamics between Dylan and Ronnie were a bit trite. There are some definite cheesy, eye-rolling moments. What really got to me was the constant back and forth, Ronnie likes Dylan then she pushes him away. This constant battle gets old, and it didn’t endear me to the story much.

I will say that I read the galley copy, so some of my qualms with the book may have been fixed after editing. And, as I said, overall I thought the story was enjoyable. So, I rate Dylan almost 3 stars.

Who is Dylan? He is the second Garahan brother. He's a rancher. And he is a really, really great guy! Ronnie is an East Coast girl. A divorcee trying to start over. She is a shop owner who needs a little help after her store gets trashed. And she is Dylan's perfect match!

I loved how Dylan met Ronnie and decided immediately that he wanted Ronnie. I loved how Dylan and Ronnie should have been so different (like "what's a sub sandwich" - that actually cracked me up!) but in the end they had so much in common and Ronnie was a perfect fit for the Garahan clan. The story was fast paced and well written. It is a simple story with not a ton of details but that's okay because it's a fun story.

I was a little disappointed that Ronnie kept falling back on the "family curse" as her reason for not wanting to be with Dylan. I felt like that story could have gone somewhere more. I also wanted the lovestory arc to take a little bit longer. I really dislike the instalove and BAM the couple is committed permanently but I forgave it in the story because it was such a fun read.

I recommend this story to anyone who likes simple, fun romance novels. You can absolutely read this without reading book one first.

Very good book. I really liked Dylan and how hard he worked to help keep their ranch going. He filled in as a stripper at the Lucky Star when his brother Tyler was hurt. He works as a carpenter to try to bring in some needed cash. Ronnie arranges to cook for Dylan and his brothers in exchange for him working on her shop. I liked Ronnie also. She was determined not to let the people who destroyed her shop win. They had an immediate attraction to each other, but Ronnie fought it. She had a bad experience with her ex-husband and had no interest in repeating it. Dylan was determined to get her into bed. I really enjoyed their interactions, as he would kiss her, she would participate then back off. I liked the way they had their attraction, but they also got to know each other. Ronnie had quite a temper, and had a tendency to go off before getting the whole story. Dylan was slower to anger and had a great sense of humor, so he balanced her very well. There was lots of sexual tension, and when they finally gave in it was hot. Ronnie and Dylan spent a fair amount of time having mental conversations with their grandparents - I loved some of the advice they got. I loved the townspeople and the way they helped each other. I especially loved Mavis - she knew that Dylan and Ronnie belonged together, and worked to make it happen. I loved the conclusion, and the way that Mavis found for Dylan to rescue Ronnie.

Dylan is the 2nd book from C H Admirand Secret Life of Cowboys. Dylan was working at the Lucky Star strip club until they could find a replacement for him. During his act he lassoed a birthday girl. First look into her emerald green eyes when he pulls her on stage he wanted her. There was something about her that he was drawn to but Ronnie was having mixed emotions about her body responses to him and that was getting her worried. You see Ronnie is from the east coast and had a bad relationship so she moved to Texas. She owns a business in Texas that was broken into and what do you know a cute cowboy is doing her repairs for her. Ronnie wants nothing to do with Dylan because she believes in her family's curse but her body is saying something totally different and with her past problems causes her to be on guard. But this doesn’t detour Dylan from getting what he has his eyes set on.

This story brings you in right from the beginning. I love Dylan and wish there were more guys like him. I also love Ronnie and in a way I can relate to her. I love how Dylan uses a certain type of an analogy and she'd get pissed (which I won't tell you). But in the end Ronnie loves how he talks. I also like how he uses Texas phases and she doesn't get them like me from being in New York I was like, what! But it was all meant in a good way.

Dylan (The Secret Life of Cowboys #2) by C.H. Admirand

So much better than the first book. Partly because I really could identify with Ronnie a displaced city girl as I am what they call a “damn yankee” a northerner who moved south and stayed. I can relate to the culture clashes between Ronnie and Dylan. Also because this book flowed much better. I don’t know whether it was the author or the editor but this book was much less choppy than Tyler. I wasn’t doing the whiplash thing saying what the heck where did that come from? I love the interaction between the brothers and the fact that they admit men can communicate with a grunt or a shrug. They get it but as Emily and Ronnie said “…women need words.”

I am now really looking forward to Jesse’s book.

I had a really hard time liking this book. The first in the series, Tyler, was better than this one. It was just an OK read for me. Not much really happens in it. Both Dylan and Ronnie spend way too much time thinking about each other. When they are together, they are either fighting or having sex. When exactly did they get to know each other? As in the first book, I felt like most of the characters over-reacted to a lot of the situations. Everyone seems to angry in these books. The ending was kind of ridiculous. I didn't understand the sheriff's motivation for arresting Ronnie. He would never have anything to hold her on in reality. I think this one could have been shortened to a novella since it didn't have much of a plot to begin with.

I read this right after reading Tyler and gotta tell ya, I liked this one much better. This book was the perfect amount of humor, drama and good old-fashion lovin'. The two MCs were the perfect fit for each other. Dylan knew exactly what he wanted when he saw Ronnie and after their first meeting he knew she was worth the trouble to get to know. All Ronnie saw was a sexy cowboy who was very confident of his ability to snap her up whether she wanted it or not. Thankfully, she decides that yes, she does want him and from there they heat up the sheets. Even the secondary characters are great and I can't wait to read Jesse's book to see which lucky girl catches his attention.

I could not wait to finish the book I was reading before this book because I am a sucker for Cowboy type books. At first I thought this was going to be one of those book where the cowboy has sex the second he meets the girl but boy was I so wrong! Dylan was a very enjoyable read there was so much sexual tension between Dylan and Ronnie it was not even funny! I LOVE the ending of this book , it did not leave you hanging to bad it actually wrapped up just the way I like my books to. As usual I do not want to give away the whole book you have got to read this book if your into Romance and happy endings.

First Tyler and now Dylan, I do not know how much more a girl can take, but I am ready to find out. Dylan is your typical middle child, with attitude to spare, but he has so met his match with Ronnie. Their verbal sparring is like so much foreplay, and it gets you in the mood to only want more. If Jesse is anything like his older brothers we are in for another treat, and I cannot wait to see the woman willing to take him on.

Wonderful book.

I enjoyed the second book in the series. Dylan is helping his brothers with the family farm and picking up where Tyler left off with the "job" at the bar in town.

Meeting feisty Ronnie on her birthday starts him down a path that they both fight and yet enjoy.

Great story with the chemistry working between the two. Looking forward to more.

Wow, so incredibly awful for the first time in a LONG time I couldn't finish a book. This was just bad - the language ('Texas cowboy' where everyone is darlin EVERY OTHER WORD, etc.), the story, the jumping around in the story constantly.... so sad.
Note that I'm putting the date that I stopped reading this as the date I didn't finish this book.

It was nice getting back to reading a cowboy story again. While I can't say this was my favorite read, I didn't hate it. There's plenty of hot sex in this story. A lot of hearing voices of grandparents both dead and alive talking to the main characters. To me that was kind of hokey and annoying. I didn't connect to these characters very well.

Rarely do I not finish a book, and I love contemporary westerns, but this grated on me. Neither character was too bright, and the fact they they both talked to themselves out loud to do all their internalizations.....were they not capable of thinking without talking? one character doing that would be fine, but both was a little much.

I liked this book as much as the first. I do wish there had been just a little more "dancing" in it! I love the language the author uses and how devoted and sweet the Cowboys are! Wow, to have a man treat me that way......

This started off really good with like able characters, then devolved into lackluster sex scenes and a leading man who seems to be unable to process any original thoughts through his Stetson-clad head.
