In Beautiful Disaster , pop superstar Corey Evans realizes how hollow he feels until he discovers he's in love with his best friend and band mate, Ian Coltraine. Together they form the successful pop duo 2ICE, and this story picks up where the first left off.
A couple not only onstage but in the bedroom now, Ian and Corey have managed to hide their newfound relationship from the fans, the press, and -- most importantly -- their management. But when manager Dean Summers stumbles upon the two of them together, he's determined to put an end to what he sees as a destructive course which can only end up tearing the band apart.
Is the budding love Ian and Corey share strong enough to stand up to the pressures they face?
If you haven't read Beautiful Disaster , this story may not make much sense. So pick up the first story before diving into this short, satisfying sequel!

'Encore' by J.M. Snyder is the sequel to 'Beautiful Disaster', and begins with Corey and Ian basking in the light of their newly requited love. However, all is not completely well in paradise; Corey, is having his recurrent trouble grasping the reality of it. He's lived in an imaginary world so long that he's afraid that he and Ian together will suddenly disappear and he will find himself in bed with a fan again. Ian replies with one of my favorite quotes in the story: Softly, Ian murmured, “There’s still a fan in your bed every morning. Me.” Corey explains that he meant a female fan and, Ian quips: “I could wear a dress if you want.” His comical retort breaks Corey's tension and makes it real for him again.
His manager, Dean, and his wife, however, do not share their enthusiasm. Dean not only fears what this might do to their popularity, he also worries that Corey will slip back into his player role and break Ian's heart. Neither scenario bodes well for the band. Eventually Ian and Corey are able to convince Dean that, in spite of the odds against it, what they have is real and, from now on, they're going to face the world together.
If you, like me, appreciate a story which emphasizes that the love you feel is for the person, regardless of the package they come in, then you will enjoy this book.

I loved Corey and Ian from Beautiful Disaster so I was extremely happy to see that there was a short sequel to their story. Despite the potential risks to their band's future because of their new relationship, it was wonderful to see them place their love for each other above everything else. I am hopeful there will be another story on them in the future. While they are currently rock solid in their feelings for each other, they still have a possibly vindictive management team to worry about as well as the threat of their relationship being exposed. I need more Corey and Ian please :)
3.5 stars Let me get away with the "shrugs" portion of my opinion. I'm not sure that this story is necessary. The ending of Beautiful Disaster is lovely enough. This story happened few weeks after Corey and Ian hooked up. This story somehow makes Ian sounds childish, trying to make Corey proves his love that he is no longer the "old" Corey.
Having said that, there are some tender moments that remind me how much I love Corey and Ian. The words exchanged between them, how much they are meant for one another, are sweet.
