I'm not sure if the release of this book was rushed or what, but clearly it was not edited well, at least not as well as the first one. There were a lot of errors and the cliches that the author used were incorrect, but thats more the editor's fault . The story line was better than part one, and it was a quick read but I was really distracted with the errors. Maybe I'm outgrowing street lit.

The story was interesting, but the writing, in my opinion, was not nearly as impressive as part one. Will not be reading part 3. This is my pet peeve with these "urban fiction" books that have parts 2,3,4,5,6 and so on, after the first book the rest just read like "get money" hustles and I always feel played after I read them. Can we please go back to the times when a writer gave you a completely full and satisfying story in ONE BOOK? And may the covers reflect the description of the characters? Is that too much to ask? Thank you

I read Cheaper to Keep Her 2 and thought it was great. The story line was excellent and it kept me enthralled. The book is a series. I am looking forward to book 3. I would highly recommend this book.

This book was as good as the first one but I had two major concerns.
First, the story perpetuates the stereotype of women being bitches who still other women's men. Lynise wants to have sex with Bishop because she likes him; she also knows he has a woman. Does she respect that? No, her though was "maybe I'll fuck him so good he will leave her for me."
Really? Is that how women want to get a man? I mean, I know Lynise is supposed to be gettho but, come on! Maybe we could send another message?
The other thing that bugged me was that Lynise advised the detectives to say that the guy who died got killed in a gunfire with them. "Of course they jumped at the opportunity" (pg. 265). Well, don't some type of bullet test need to be done? Don't they need to mat h the bullets to the guns? I mean, I don't know anything about how the police operates but I ha e watched enough CIS and read enough crime books to know that Lynise advise didn't sound right.
So other than those two minor points, the story was good and entertaining.

Was excited to read because part 1 was amazing.
Book wasn’t all that I expected happy for Lynise, hope part 3 is better.
Love Bishop hope Lynise gets the happy ending she deserves with no back fire.

Can't complain. I love Kiki swinson. Can't wait to read the next book. Man was this not crazy. I wonder what will happen next.

Wow this book was so freaking good! The action, the drama and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. Can't wait to see what happens next in Part 3.

Good, but at times, frustrating to read.
I kept asking myself, "is anything going to happen?" It wasn't until I reached the end that I got my answer.
When Lynise and Bishop meet, and the story presses forward, all of that momentum seems to disappear as Bishop and Lynise split off about 1/3rd of the way into the book. They reunite later, but until then, Lynise wanders around the setting, bumping into plot points, acknowledging she doesn't have the resources to impact her issues within the plot. In the meantime, she constantly wishes she was out of her predicament, and to start fresh elsewhere, but is unwilling to entertain the thought of to how she would want to do so. She just complains about it, and keeps wandering through her old haunts, and familiar faces to find out what to do next.
Now, on a meta level I'm aware that there's five books and she can't just take off from the plot and leave, lol. But not once does she make an effort to get out of "the life" and leave VA, especially after she is aware of how helpless she is. So it never feels like she wants anymore going on in her life than she has right now. It isn't until Bishop returns to the story that the conflicts are getting resolves, near exclusively through his own efforts. He's a step ahead of everyone, done his homework on everyone, and commands a crew that gets s**t done.
At times, I found myself wishing that Bishop was the main character, because the story only truly had momentum when he was actively on screen. Lynise was good in her own right, don't get me wrong, but she wasn't very interesting. Perhaps I feel this way because this was my first introduction to the series, and in other books she takes on a more active role.
Not bad at all, but Lynise needed to do more to do to keep me invested.

I gotta admit...Honestly I'm an urban romance novel junky...but after reading this book...I was really impressed...I really enjoyed this one way better than the first book,,,When I first started the book I was getting really frustrated with Lynise...she just irked my nerves at times..Mainly because she did not know her worth...and to settle for the other woman is just a no no in my book...but it fit her quite nicely...but I definitely loved the change of events in this book...I'm definitely team Bishop for now...I'm anxious to see what this next book is going to be about...I would love to see Bishop make an honest chick outta her...because she really was dealt a bad hand...but who knows what Mrs. Swinson has up her sleeve with Cheaper to Keep her 3...We shall see...

i loved it. lynise still couldn't seem to keep herself out of trouble but at least she made it out of this one without a scratch. i was kinda disappointed in the diamond scene. i just kept picturing how when lynise finally caught up to her the ass whooping she got was going to be one for the record books. but that wasn't the case granted she did get her ass whooped but you never find out why she turned on lynise in the beginning. it had to be more than just drugs. now bishop is a paragraph all by himself. that man jus screams sexy from the pages the way he handled business was to cool for me lol I'm definitely reading part three now that duke and the gang are out the way i can't wait to see what trouble lynise gets herself into next

This one got off to a bit of a slow start, but about half way through I was literally glued to the pages. Lynise seems like she is finally on the right track, and Bishop...OMG the epitome of the urban street lit man. I just hope he does right by Lynise in the next book because she can surely use a break. The suspense in this book was huge, and I can honestly say I had no clue what was going to happen next, but I was really happy with how the book ended. Looking forward to see how part 3 unfolds.

It was like a totally different person wrote this book. I found it to be quite borrowing actually. It had none of the face paced action pack story line like the previous book. The typos were ridiculous, very poor editing. The character mix ups and sentence sequences were totally unacceptable. I was extremely disappointed with this book what a big difference from the first one. Doubt I will be reading 3 unless Kiki comes back to write it.

Unique brings the drama and suspense in Cheaper to Keep Her Part 2. Lynise is out of jail and wanting revenge for everything she has been through since dealing with Duke. Lynise has her work cut out for her and will soon find that revenge is not always bittersweet.
Cheaper to Keep Her Part 2 was exciting and entertaining. This book had some areas the had me on the edge of my seat anticipating the main characters next moves. I recommend this book to others.

This book, although entertaining, was not as good as the 1st one. For some reason Lynise really got on my nerves in this installment. There also seemed to be a noticeable amount of typing & grammatical errors. But I will admit the highlight of the story was Bishop. This character really made the book enjoyable for me. He is strong and mysterious and I picture him being fine as hell!!! I can't wait to read book 3 just to get another glimpse of Bishop...

I liked both 1 and 2 of this series. I am with some of the other readers that said they couldn't be bothered with the errors (typos, grammatical errors etc.). I felt that maybe Lynise's character would have matured a little... Granted, this book picks up right where the other left off. That is a good thing. But, her jail time didn't really make that big of change in her character. I'll just see what #3 brings.

I was so into this book from page one to the last page. kiki you did the damn thing and kept me wanting more. Duke and his flunky Chris along with Diamond got exactly what they deserve. I wouldn't dare want to cross Bishop but Lynise got her some good dick in the process of getting revenge on those fuckers that did her wrong. can't wait to start the next book. I just hope Lynise stick with Bishop or get on her feet and get out the area and start fresh..

Lynise Carter can't seem to rid her life from drama and death... In this book she teamed up with someone else who had it in for Duke. The drama and plot in this book kept me wanting to read more. Just when you think things calm down. Bishop has a score to settle with someone else and Lynise is now is "ride or die ......" Looking forward to reading part 3.

Drama, drama, drama! Enjoyed part 2 better than the beginning. Lynise got her revenge on Diamond and Duke Carrington with the help of Bishop. Bishop got revenge on Katrina for selling out his brother, Neeko and also for trying to get him killed. Duke Carrington definitely had some power. Time for Part 3.

3.5 star rating.....really liked the way things unfolded in this story........All I can say is Bishop OMG Wha' a Man, Wha'a Man!!!!! Hope Lynise finds that love that she's looking for with Bishop..... On to book 3

I cant wait for part three. I liked this book kind of crazy how women assume things in their own minds and men show them there true colors. I think these books are lessons to nieve women.
