Killchella takes attendees to an ultra-trendy music festival where they experience a bloody night of terror when a reclusive pop star making her big return recruits her most fanatical devotees to assist in a massive human sacrifice ritual.
A group of friends attending a music festival in the desert face a bloody night of terror when an enigmatic pop star named Topanga Cornell recruits her most fanatical devotees to assist in a mass sacrifice ritual at her big return concert.
The quest for good vibes quickly becomes a fight for survival as the crew tries to escape Topanga and her gang of blade-wielding obsessive fans she lovingly refers to as her "fawns" who will do anything #ForHerLove.
Už to bolo len o bande fanatikov a ich náhodne pobehujúcich obetiach.
Essentially this is trying to take the cult and folk horror feel of movies like The Wicker Man and Midsommar and bring it to a big concert like Coachella. So, it takes a big, bold, fun, and nicely illustrated thing. It's not a home run, but it is pretty fun and has some cool kills and set pieces. I had fun with Killchella.
A very good Hoopla find. It's about a pop star who goes nuts and lures people into a special concert at Coachella to be murdered by her fans as part of some ritual. Stan culture at its darkest. The art is terrific too.
Read them in the single issues. Starts out pretty strong, has a really fun Wicker Man by way of popstar concept, but it just can't quite stick the landing.
