Elizabeth J Kolodziej, a young fiction writer originally from Torrance California, is a smart and original thinker who has researched the origins of vampires, werewolves, and witches for many years. She writes her books from the knowledge she has gained while trying to be as original and inspiring as possible. Her books encompass both true folklore facts along with innovative ideas motivated by the great writers around her.
Faith Scott is the last witch in the world. Thinking life would settle down after retreiving the blood and moon stones, with her Irish Vampire Boyfriend , a bizarre killings of werewolves is taking place. There hearts are exploding and werewolves are being kidnapped. Rumours are an alchemist is killing them, reason behind the murders is unbeknown. Faith has asked Vincent * A Psychic Vampire - one which drains energy rather than blood )) to help. But will she get more than she planned on ? Vincent is besotted with Faith !
Trent and Faith's love is challenged - but not only a vampire a werewolf to - both have an infaction with her. Trent is kept on his toes to proof to Faith he has nothing but undying love for her and hot on her tail to protect her at all cost.
A crazy alchemist, deceptive gods, and having to rescue Zou Tai from the kidnappers - Faith is determined to deal with them all to save the ones she loves.
But at what costs to Faith ?
My thoughts !!
I must say this was a great continuous from Book one Vampyre Kisses !! I really enjoyed it !!
Faith and Trent's love is challenged throughout this read, an interesting addition ( new character to create a love triangle) is added . - Vincent is a pshyic vampire - only one of his kind per generation - he is full of spunk and heat and has an infactuation for Faith you had to wander what his motives where.. ** He makes her tingle and doubt herself at times- so it often made me wander if he was using his powers !! ** wink wink !
New characters added to create havoc and an extra love interest added , which makes it interesting for story development, we find new characters to hate, love and grow with. All characters easily realate to and enjoy, their funny manerims, and their antics creating each individually.
Storyline I found ran fluent , I really enjoyed the fact that Elizabeth told the story from different POV"S I found that this gave the story depth, and character. Its always nice to know what other characters are thinking throughout and this concept I found refreshing and not at all confusing. ! It was very enlightening.
All chapters running fluently, from one to the next, intriguing story and world that Elizabeth has created a new kind of vampire ! ** hot one at that ** and infactutaion and rivalry for love !! We always enjoy a love triangle !! It has you curious throughout the entire book who Faith will end up with. I even found myself wandering whom I would choose. Elizabeth made it hard for me as a reader to pick a favourite male love for Faith !! They where all such sweeties !!
But Trent captured my heart with his sweet nickname for Faith and his undying love and devotion.. Their love was sensual and romantic and yes lovey dovey ! But hey I love this kind !! Smokin scenes that will knock your socks off so definelty a read for the big girls !!! ** The fireworks where definetly sparking between Faith and Trent** I enjoyed the romance they had, and the fact that Faith wasnt a whiney character, she was tough and kickarse with Trent hot on her tail to ensure she was safe at all times . ** My kinda man ** sigh -
The rivalry between the boys just adds that little bit of excitement..
Emotions and descriptions all well portrayed.. I must say the ending had me gasping and ** yelling out ** NOOOOOO - tears and gob smacked !! NOT AT ALL WHAT I EXPECTED .... I found my heart had shattered,,,, and thinking where Elizabeth is taking this story !!! So unpredictable and I must say Im not sure if it really happened !!!! ** wipes away tears ** A cliffhanger you that will leave you hanging by a finger !
Characters were all easily liked, and had their own personalites ! The villian - I would love to have jumped into the book to slice him open ! A villian we all loathe and hate !! Created perfectly for the reader !!
Overall, a fantastic addition to The Last Witch series, a story that will not only keep you captivated, but mesmerized from beginning to end, curve balls thrown in , and a roller coaster ride that will take you right till the very end screaming and gasping !!!
An intriguing world that Elizabeth has created - filled with great characters that will not only keep your attention piqued but captivated at how she created such a unique world for us all to enjoy !! I eagerly await book 3 !!! ** heart aching till then ! **
First I have to link you to my review of Vampyre Kisses, book 1 in The Last Witch Series, http://www.bookscompleteme.com/2011/0.... I originally reviewed Vampyre Kisses as a YA book. OOOOOPS on my part. This is actually an adult series. Vampyre Kisses TOTALLY fit the YA feel. Sorry to assume everyone! So after you read my review of Vampyre Kisses, continue please! AND...if you have not read Vampyre Kisses, go read it now. I will wait for you ;)
Werewolf Descent picked up right where Vampyre Kisses left off. It was great to just jump right into the story. I fell in LOVE with Trent, Faith and ZT (Zou Tai) and all the other characters. The book world needs to come up with a new genre for this type of book. Vampires, Werewolves, Alchemist, Witches, Gods and Goddesses make the BEST stories! So therefore, we need a new name for this genre, which is QUICKLY becoming my favorite. Talk about an incredible collection of lores put together in an incredible story.
This is a very fast paced book. I originally bought it on my Kindle App as it was only offered in Ebook. I can't do the ebook thing for some reason. I wanted to read it but I just could not do it. I finally got my paperback copy and I read the book within a day! YAY ME! See, it is a really good book!
Faith and Trent find themselves in yet another battle. Their love is constantly being tested with Faith being not only a witch but the last witch and Trent being a vampire. Faith is good friends with the Prince of Werewolves Zou Tai. As his pack starts getting murdered, Faith wants to help find out who is behind the attacks and why. When Faith meets Vincent, life gets even more complicated. Being a Psychic Vampire creates a powerful bond that is not explainable to anyone, or so you think!
This story never stops. There is no good place to stop reading. I was blown away at each new event and each twist and turn. This is DEFINITELY not a predictable story at all. The book is written in three points of view, Faith, Trent & Zou Toi. It makes the book so great to follow as you get such detail from the different characters.
I loved seeing how much Author Elizabeth has grown since Vampyre Kisses. Normally a sequel to a book is all about building up to the third book or tying up loose ends in the first book. Werewolf Descent was an INCREDIBLE book two. It was definitely written to stand on its own book cover as an excellent story! I highly suggest reading Vampyre Kisses first though. You don't want to miss out!
PS if you read the
acknowledgements at the end of the book, you will see YOURS TRULY mentioned in the book! HOW COOL IS THAT???
Last year I won Liz’s first book, Vampyre Kisses, along with a cool t-shirt. This was her first novel as well as her first attempt at self-publishing. Her first book was a little rough around the edges and her writing skills needed more developing, but her characters and story line hooked me quickly. She does a great job of creating a believable chemistry between her characters. Trent and Faith’s love story made me warm and tingly all over.
While Liz’s writing technique is different from how most novels are written, each chapter is told from a different character's POV. It's sometimes hard to get used to the shifts in perspective, but I don’t mind it. I like the complexity of lots of characters and multiple story lines going on at once. Liz has also come up with a unique way of mixing Greek mythology into the vampire/shifter/witch mythos.
Werewolf Descent is the second book in her Last Witch Series, I absolutely love the cover by the way. Liz has learned a lot about self-publishing since her last book. Matter of fact, she does informative posts every Thursdays on her blog for authors wanting to know more about the how-to of self-publishing.
Our protagonists Faith, Trent and their friends are facing a new threat; as an Alchemist with a grudge starts killing werewolves. But there is also a threat from within their circle, from someone who is supposed to help protect them. I don’t want to give away to much information because there are some really surprising plot twists. She also introduces some new characters in Werewolf Descent that I look forward to reading more about in future novels. My favorite is Vincent, a psychic vampire, who is drawn to Faith. Poor Faith, she has an awesome blood vampire boyfriend, a hot werewolf prince and a smexy psychic vampire all trying to get in her pants .
I really enjoy these characters, the overall tone is dark and she made me cry at the end. I can see where she might be going with the third book and I look forward to reading it. I have to admit I am a little biased when it comes to Liz and her books . After her first book we started emailing and I have watched Werewolf Descent go from concept to finished product.
I will give this book two ratings.
3 Sheep for the technical parts of the writing 4 Sheep for the characters and story, she made me cry!
Although I haven't had a chance to review it yet, I just finished Elizabeth Kolodziej's first book Vampyre Kisses. I fell in love with the characters in that book, and I was looking forward to diving into this one! I know these reviews are a bit backwards, but I'll do my best to make sure that I explain a little bit about the overall story and what I liked. That way you won't feel lost, my lovely readers.
Number one thing I love about this series in general is the copious amount of paranormal lore that is packed in. From vampires, to witches, to werewolves, there are more paranormal entities than it seems possible to fit into one story line. However Elizabeth does it seamlessly. Older vampire lore is mixed in with new and interesting abilities. What comes out of it is Werewolf Descent, a fabulously entertaining book that will keep you reading on.
If I had to choose one thing that put this book at 4 stars rather than 5, since I did thoroughly enjoy the read, it would be the way the chapters are broken up. Each chapter is from a different character point of view, and there were times where I would be a bit confused as to who was speaking. Especially since Trent and Faith are so used to one another, so comfortable, that sometimes they say what the other is thinking. It was definitely an interesting way to tell the story, since it was from multiple eyes. However it was definitely a confusing read as well.
The tie in of Greek Mythos made things interesting as well. I'm not entirely sure how much it spoke out in the overall story of Werewolf Descent specifically, but it was a nice undertone. The plot is fast moving, the characters are well written, and if you've read the first book you won't have a single problem picking up where you left off. I've heard people say that you can read this as a standalone. Personally I wouldn't recommend it. I started to read this first, but then quickly realized that I was missing a lot of rich back story. Spend the extra time and read both, you won't regret that you did.
All these words basically equal out to one thing. This book was a great read. I'm a fan of vampires, a fan of werewolves and, thanks to Werewolf Descent, I think I've just added witches to my list as well. If you are a lover of paranormal fantasy, this is a series to look out for. I thank Elizabeth Kolodziej for allowing me the opportunity to review her books! I can't wait for the next in the series.
First off, this is the second novel in the Last Witch series. I didn’t read the first novel, Vampyre Kisses, so I was a little fearful I might become lost in Werewolf Descent. I’m happy to report, that was not the case. In my mind, Werewolf Descent could stand alone as a novel. Yes, it did reference plots from Vampyre Kisses, but in a way I didn’t feel as if I were missing out.
The story was told from three points of views (POV): Faith, Trent, and Zou Tai. Though I’m not sure why Zou Tai had his own POV, I’m not complaining. I rather enjoyed his character and hope to read a novel where he’s the central character with a love interest of his own. There was a little bit of foreshadowing in this work, so I’m really looking forward to finding out more about his story.
Then we have Faith and Trent, our two love birds. Their relationship is already established by the time we enter Werewolf Descent. However, with the constant bombardment of males trying to get a little Faith action, this work had an Urban Fantasy feel to it. I’m not sure what genre Vampyre Kisses is, but Werewolf Descent is definitely NOT a Paranormal Romance (PR)… just a warning to you PR lovers.
Now I’m a bit new to the Urban Fantasy world. However, I have to say I quite enjoyed the story line for Werewolf Descent. I was never quite sure if Faith would succumb to one of the male advances, while also wondering which guy Trent would kill first. With all the territory marking, I’m surprised Faith didn’t come out pee splattered. Let’s just say, there was a heavy flow of testosterone in this novel. Add that to unexpected turns, and I was into for a pretty wild ride. More than once, I had the thought, I didn’t see that coming.
My only complaint, because I can’t leave well enough alone, is I think the writing could have been tighter by eliminating the filtering verbs and phrases which were at times a bit distancing. All in all, it was a pretty good read, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Faith in 2012.
***I received my copy as an ARC from the author***
Elizabeth has done it AGAIN! What an amazing read! Where she gets all these ideas, I have no clue but keep them coming!!! This story was alluring with all the mysterious twists and turn that I could not figure out. The romantic entanglement that with each turn of a page kept me guessing who will be sucked in the triangle next, entertained me completely. I could not put the book down! And the romantic sections!! Loved those! The story has some new characters and I sensed it taking a new direction which I thought was a great way to continue to the series. Although, I understand the reason behind the ending, I can not go without saying that I wished it ended differently. I loved that character and loved the connection between those two. But only Elizabeth knows where she’s taking this story next, and with what I have read so far, I know she will make it desirably readable. Lets see how this new character develops and how this all turns out. I can not wait until the next book!!! Absolutely in love with this series. With so much going on, there’s no way you can put the book down. It’s amazing how the author can write a story with so much adventure, problems, characters and romance and still keep it easy to read, follow and comprehend. Honestly, folks this is a must read and I highly recommend this series to all Adults!!
When a new vampire (Vincent) comes into town specifically for Faith, Faith learns that there’s a new witch ability she has yet to learn but must awaken quickly if she wants to protect herself from this new vampire. Trent isn’t happy about this new vampire and acquires the help of Morgan (the master vampire) to located and uncover the motives behind this new enemy. If it isn’t enough that there’s a new vampire in town with unknown motives. Werewolves are disappearing and dying of an unknown cause. When an investigator arrives in New York to investigate the Royal Werewolf Family, Zou Tai isn’t happy about it but with all the history and the attraction between the two, things get a little hot. There’s another new character (Lilith) who is being introduced in this story and I believe will be mentioned more in the next book.
Elizabeth J. Kolodziej, you have officially hit my to watch for author's list!!
When we left off on the first book, Vampyre Kisses, Faith was recovering from wounds gained in the battle in Ireland when getting the Vampiric Blood gem and Werewolf Moon gem back.
We pick up with her and Trent, her green-eyed vampire lover, moving in together and news that danger is once again at foot. Werewolves are dying and being kidnapped and there is a strange physic vampire, Vincent, that has set his sights on Faith.
I really REALLY liked this one! The first novel as I said before had a pretty rough start but this second novel pretty much starts where we left off from the last. So I had no trouble at all getting absorbed into the plot and characters that I have now become familiar with.
One thing that I am really curious about and that kind of nagged at me even with everything going on was the Salt Whip, we see him only once in the book and I guess I assumed we would see him more? Or at least learn something about him. The second was how we was left with the Lilith and Kane and other stuff going on with the gods, meddlers that they are in this book, made me want to scream what is going on. One a side note, Kane, oh my, was he just sexy or what?
I know this book just came out this month, the 15th to be exact, but please tell me there is a third in the making!?! I can not wait to find out what will happen in the next novel especially with the way this one ended, it really leaves you on the edge of your seat and wanting more!
I think I would recommend this book to anyone, especially fans of paranormal.
*I received an Ebook copy of this book for free to review from the author.
This is a BRILLIANT book! No kidding, is entertaining, funny, interesting and full of things I didn't know about, like alchemist stuff. Yes, alchemist, that's right. So, if in "Vampyre Kisses" we had gods, a volucris (I want one too!), hunters, slayers, a guardian, vampires, werewolves and the last witch in this one we need to add a psychic vampire (there's only one each generation), an alchemist and a inquisitor. In conclusion: so much fun! But yeah, let me explain a little bit of the book:
After the last battle in "Vampyre Kisses" Faith and Trent decide to move in together so they rent a new place outside New York. What they want? Peace and quiet. What they get? Crazy people everywhere. There's a new vampire coming to town, a really special one that doesn't feed on blood but on energy. And he wants Faith's energy. But he wants her heart too (in a romantic way, don't get me wrong). His name is Vincent and for some reason he needs to be with Faith. But he arrives in the middle of a crisis: werewolves are been kidnapped and nobody knows why. Zou Tai, the werewolf prince, goes to Morgan to ask for help and of course Faith gets involved too.
In this book we won't find a love triangle, we are going to find a square. Yep. Faith is just so special that Trent (her vampire boyfriend) is going to compite against Zou Tai (werewolf prince and a very hot guy) and Vincent (psychic vampire with an energy that makes Faith melt). Even Daeka, the werewolf god, likes her a little bit but in a playful way. But you see, there's this alchemist that wants to ruin everything. I can't tell you what he wants because is one of the most interesting things in the book but I can encourage you to read both of them :D The next book is coming out next year and believe me, I can't wait to see what happens next!
Faith and Trent are back and there are more obstacles than ever testing their love in the second installment of The Last Witch series. I fell in love with the characters in Vampyre Kisses and I enjoyed how Kolodziej put a different spin on vampires. I was really looking forward to reading Werewolf Descent and it didn't disappoint. I was drawn in from the very first page and read the book in almost one sitting. Kolodziej has some tricks up her sleeve in this one, and she kept me guessing all the way through. Continuing with her trend of putting new spins on the world of vampires and werewolves, Kolodziej introduces us to a psychic vampire and an alchemist. The new characters keep the story fresh and engaging while of course causing more conflict for Faith and her vampire boyfriend, Trent.
I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of werewolves, but I was drawn into the story of the werewolf murders and especially the history behind it, which becomes key to the story line. I found myself cheering on the creatures that I usually dislike in other books. But while the werewolf prince becomes a key player in this story, he also creates some trouble for Faith. In fact, Faith becomes the object of desire of many of the characters in this book, showing how truly one-of-a-kind she is.
One caution I do have to make is that this book gets steamy. Faith and Trent's relationship is in full-swing and we see it all. I would hesitate to recommend it to younger readers who like to read up, but for the intended audience, it's full of romance and passion.
Another great thing about this book is that even though it is the second in the series, it stands on its own. This book is a winner. I think Kolodziej topped herself this time.
Faith, the last witch in the world, and Trent, her vampire boyfriend, have just returned home after surviving a deadly battle that put them into possession of the Blood Stone and the Moon Stone. Back at their house they are trying to recover while building their relationship. Things are going well until Vincent, a psychic vampire, moves into town.
Vincent has an energy that Faith finds hard to ignore and he feels the same way about her. While Trent is getting jealous of their budding friendship Zou Tai, the werewolf prince, is trying to find out who is killing members of his pack. Vincent and Faith make a trip to visit an Alchemist who might know something about the killings.
Soon relationships are tested, lines are crossed, and the group is in a race against time to stop the werewolf killings before Zou Tai, the real target, is killed.
I enjoyed reading this book and found myself interested in seeing how Faith is growing into her powers as a witch. She seems to be learning more about herself but is growing more confused about her relationships. I wasn't thrilled with the story line of Vincent, Trent, and Zou Tai vying for her attention. How many relationships does one witch need?
There is a lot of action in the story and multiple story lines to keep me on my toes. Morgan and Collin, two vampires from the first book, make an appearance again in this book and we are introduced to the beautiful Lilith as well. As with the first book the conclusion of the book is a heated battle between supernatural forces. However the ending of this book is so tragic and shocking that I never saw it coming.
Faith, the Last Witch, is back with more spunk and courage than Vampyre Kisses. She was definitely more likeable in this installment. Zou Tai’s perspective is introduced in this book, and that made me extremely happy. He is my favorite character, along with Oran, who is just ridiculously awesome, and Mac. All the side characters in this series stand out way more than the main protags. Lilith, a mythological woman straight outta Jewish religious texts but whose mythology is completely different in this story, is a great addition to this book, as well.
The prologue was very interesting, and it captured my interest right away. I love that the author weaved in some Greek Mythology. Kudos! I also enjoyed the introduction of psychic vampires, which was a wicked cool idea. Instead of feeding off blood, they feed off people’s aura. The action in Werewolf Descent was better than Vampyre Kisses, and we get to see Trent’s jealousy rear it’s ugly head. So many paranormal men in Faith’s life are drawn to her, and they aren’t afraid to let it be known.
All in all, I definitely enjoyed Werewolf’s Descent more than Vampyre Kisses, I was more interested in this book. I still don’t think the romance is up to par with other paranormal romances, but the story is good nonetheless. I think the author’s writing has improved and her imagination was better portrayed. Multiple POVs are still a bit confusing but definitely better laid out.
Werewolf Descent is the 2nd book in The Last Witch series by Elizabeth Kolodziej. Vampyre Kisses being the first. It is said that the books can be read as "stand alones" but I honestly recommend reading them in the order they were written. There are lots of things in Werewolf Descent that I would not have understood had I not read Vampyre Kisses first.
Elizabeth's writing has matured significantly between the two books. I was very pleased with this one!
Faith seems to be a very popular witch this time around! Lots of people acting on the desire to kiss her :)
Werewolves from Zou Tai's pack are popping up dead and nobody can figure out why. It appears to be a heart attack but that's not possible for werewolves is it? There are other werewolves being kidnaped, but by whom? Everyone seems to notice a change in Morgan's behavior but nobody can figure out what brought on those changes.
A new character, Vincent the psychic vampire, is introduced and he happens to become my favorite character of all! He is mysterious and always calm.
The end of the story is breathe taking and leaves you anxious for the next book!
I would recommend this book to anyone over the age of 14. There is one "sex scene" that is a little too intense for "tween" readers in my opinion.
We continue almost where we left off at the end of Vampyre Kisses. Faith has bought a new house and Trent has moved in with her. Morgan is now the master of the local vampires and Zou Tai is busy with his pack. Life is back to normal, well, as normal as normal can get for Faith. But somehow Zou Tai's pack member are being taken and murdered and Morgan offers to help. Then Vincent a psychic vampire appears and starts falling for Faith. Trent hates it. Then it's non stop action and adventure and we see Faith taking much more active role. You will notice a lot more obstacles testing Faith and Trent's love in this 2nd book. That's most probably because of Circe, the Goddess of withes and she wants more of them, and Trent sure can't help in that department. so .... I loved the story line behind the werewolf murders. I would also recommend to not let younger readers read this book as it can get quite steamy since it's filled with passion and romance with Trent and Faith steamy love scenes. Another thing I'd like to add, even though it's the 2nd in a series, it stands on it's own. This book is a winner.
Well now I am on the edge of my seat again. We last left Faith with Trent recovering from a butt kicking journey of her discovering her heritage of becoming a witch, being stalked by slayers, her mother revealing more than Faith wanted to know and an uncertain fate.
Now just when Faith and Trent think that they can start building their new relationship, a new man moves to town. Vincent -- a psychic vampire is obsessed with Faith and is likely to move in on Trent's territory.
Faith's connection with Zou Tai is tested when they find that the werewolf pack is being hunted and the were's are being killed. She is willing to do what she can to protect him and help his family from being slaughtered. Faith soon realizes that her powers will be tested when she is up against a powerful alchemist.
Friendships, bonds and futures are strained, bent and tested through this magnetically charged novel as Faith and her team go up against deadly forces, deceptive gods and love.
Elizabeth surprises me again and has me wanting more as I am yet again salivating over her latest creation!
Werewolf Descent was an action packed page turner. Elizabeth was able to mix mythology of yesterday with some of the most popular icons of today. Her writing is poetry in motion and keeps you guessing while cheering on Faith, the last witch. I found her all of her characters to have their own unique voices and her style of writing easy to read. I looked down and didn't realize I was half way through the book. When I find a writer who does that for me, it's amazing!!
Werewolf Descent is the second novel in The Last Witch Series. It’s a paranormal with some romance that is sure to curl your toes. Then again, how could it not when a sexy, overprotective Irish vampire is involved?
I loved reading this book! It is refreshing and kept me reading, page after page. I was not able to put it down until I had finished the book! I am lookingforward to the reading the 3rd book in The Last Witch Series!!!
Elizabeth has done it AGAIN! What an amazing read! Where she gets all these ideas, I have no clue but keep them coming!!! Again this story was told from alternating points of view. The story continues with the same characters from before and introduces some new ones. The author introduces the reader to alchemists, a psychic vampire and Malena, a werewolf from Japan, in this story. The reader hears more from the gods in this story and we find out a little more about werewolf history. The plot is still unique with twists and turns as well as some surprises again. Not everyone is who you think they are! The romance in the story again still contributes to the plot but is not the main focus. There is plenty of action and adventure. Then Vincent a psychic vampire appears and starts falling for Faith and Trent hates it. Then it's non stop action and adventure and we see Faith taking much more active role, you will notice a lot more obstacles testing Faith and Trent's love in this second book. The characters are easily identifiable and interesting. I personally want to know more about the psychic vampire and want to continue to hear about Zou Tai. I am curious how powerful Faith will be once her powers are fully awakened. It’s amazing how the author can write a story with so much adventure, problems, characters and romance and still keep it easy to read, follow and comprehend. Honestly, folks this is a must read and I highly recommend this series to all adults!

My summary:
As Faith learns more about what it means to be the last witch, she hopes to spend time with Trent, her vampire boyfriend. But Vincent, the psychic vampire has different ideas. His ideas include him being with Faith. Despite the conflicting vampires, Faith is thrown into the middle of werewolf killings. Who is behind the kidnappings and attacks? Can Faith keep Vincent at bay long enough to help Zou Tai’s pack? Can Faith and Trent’s love survive this latest struggle?
My thoughts:
2 stars- not my taste
Note: This is an adult book with adult content
I read and reviewed the first book in this series, Vampyre Kisses but didn’t care for it. The author asked that even though I didn’t like the first book, that I still read book two. So I did. I found the same type of things that bothered me before. There are so many different types of characters going in too many different directions. The plot has so much activity that it makes my head swim. I think I kept reading these books because of Trent. Something about him made me like him. He seemed so genuine. He truly cares for Faith. I’m not sure the same can be said for Faith. She frustrates me. Seriously, there are too many men in Faith’s life. How many possible lovers can one witch have? I mean Trent, then Zou Tai and Vincent. Don’t forget that Mac was an ex-boyfriend. She needs to figure things out. Anyway, I’m done with this series. The ending for this book caused my interest to die.
If you like adult paranormal romance, this may be one you would like. It’s just not for me.
I just finished reading Werewolf Descent as I am writing this review. The ending made me very sad and angry at the same time. I think you will be too when you read it. I need to read Witch Devotions as soon as possible to see how this is going to end! I give the story 4 stars.

I enjoyed reading this sequel. I will be reviewing the third book in the series, Witch Devotions, on 10/23/12. Hope to see you then.

If I knew where Elizabeth lived, I'd probably head over to her house and slap her for leaving us hanging like that!!!!!!! I have to give mad props to her for a great follow up to Vampyre Kisses though!!! I am slightly ashamed I waited so long to read this, but it was worth the wait! I loved reuniting with the characters from Vampyre Kisses and I enjoyed the new characters introduced in Werewolf Descent! This story was easier for me to read and I feel Elizabeth has really blossomed since the first book. I'm not saying Vampyre Kisses was horrible, because it definitely was anything but! It just took me some time to get into it!!! Werewolf Descent was very fast paced and I didn't want to put it down!! The story line was great and full of little twists I didn't see coming!!!! I cannot wait for Witch Devotions and for more from Elizabeth in the future!!!
This was the first book that I won on goodreads and loved it. I haven't read the first book, but am looking for it and love the signed copy. I feel special. (Thanks Elizabeth)The story line was a little confusing at first, but I have learned to deal with that because I'm never reading books in order. I love how strong the characters are and how their relationships have grown and changed throughout the book. I hope that there is another book and so on. Plus, I enjoyed this book because not very many books I have read are about witches and werewolves, vampires. Well, vampires I have read a lot, but witches, not so much. I love the powers and influence each characters has on one another and love Trent and Faith. (:)) I recommend that anyone who enjoys paranormal romance books and suspense should read this book.
