Coffee or Tea?

Penang is full of hipster cafes and for most of MYWriters Penang’s, our readings have been based in one. We’re obsessed with tea, coffee, and food in general - we’re Penangites, after all - so that’s translated into our works as well. This edition of NutMag brings you another 10 pieces of poetry, fiction and non-fiction revolving around... coffee and tea. NutMag is an annual zine published by MYWriters Penang, the Penang ‘branch’ of the Malaysian Writers Society.​Our goal has always been to help promote Penang-based writers, both published and unpublished, by giving them a platform and a tangible form of output to get into the hands of readers. ​​​Just as nutmegs are home-grown in our lovely island, we aim to be a 100% Penang-grown product.
